3 BACKGROUND THIS IS THE 7 th TIME THE ASSOCIATION OF GHANA INDUSTRIES IS ORGANIZING THIS INDUSTRY SUMMIT. THE IDEA OF INSTITUTING THIS PROGRAMME WAS INFORMED BY OUR DESIRE TO SEE LOCAL INDUSTRIES PARTICIPATING MORE IN THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY AND OTHER STRATEGIC SECTORS OF OUR ECONOMY EVERY YEAR WE BROUGHT IN A NEW DIMENSION TO MAKE THE PROGRAMME MORE RELEVANT AND INTERESTING FOR OUR NUMEROUS STAKEHOLDERS GISE 2018

4 WHY GISE??... To provide an annual meeting place for industrialists to serve as global platform for enhancing industrialization. To assemble, interact and share ideas on innovation and technology as a way of moving the private sector forward. Opportunity to understand the potential for industrialization and to increase FDI. To activate a massive promotion of Made-in- Ghana goods produced across the country. To appreciate modern technologies from various countries around the world.

5 THE SUMMIT One major advantage of the industrial era is the exploitation of natural resources and adding value to create finished products that are needed for direct consumption. The summit will touch on many topics that will converge ideas on how to take advantage of international demand for high-end products to grow our industrial sectors.

7 THE SUMMIT The summit will assemble Policy makers Actors in the industrial space International and local speakers on current technological advancements in industry and Entrepreneurs.

8 THE SUMMIT - DISCUSSIONS The discussions is anticipated to bring to the fore, cutting edge solutions to road blocks to industrial advancement in Ghana with the view to enhancing value addition to primary production. The end result is to make Ghana a leading exporter of high value end products from its natural resources and thereby impacting positively on the economy.

Successfully persuaded strategic manufacturing partners operating from all over the world that Ghana is the new haven for industrialization. Set the stage for the One District, One Factory project implementation. Established a knowledge sharing platform between Catalonia Trade & Investment and the AGI
