2 puts faith in the context of everyday life. With a strong focus on social justice, we offer a fresh and balanced take on the issues that matter most in our world, adding a faith perspective to such challenges as poverty, education, family life, the environment, and even pop culture. Each month s issue is packed with comprehensive reporting, in-depth interviews, colorful opinion essays, cultural commentary, media reviews, and more. For nearly 80 years we have been a courageous, forward-thinking forum for discussion among a broad range of voices. Start reading and join the conversation. Now in its 80th year, U.S. Catholic is part of the publishing mission of the Claretians, a religious community of priests and brothers that follows in the footsteps of St. Anthony Claret. The Claretians began their publishing ministry in the United States in 1935 with the first edition of the magazine The Voice of St. Jude. In 1963, The Voice of St. Jude transformed into U.S. Catholic magazine. Today Claretian Publications in Chicago is one of the country s most respected Catholic publishers of magazines and newsletters.
