7 Help us keep families close and ensure that they experience their child s story together When a child is seriously ill and receiving treatment in the hospital, a parent never wants to leave their side. They want to make sure their child is comforted and supported even if it means sleeping in a waiting room or sacrificing their own well-being in the process. It s what parents do. Parents and families need a place to call home; a home where they will find a comfortable place to sleep and recharge, lovingly prepared meals from volunteers, and an environment where they feel cared for and supported. All these things make a positive impact in the life of a child and their family so that they can focus on what matters the health of their child. With your help, Ronald McDonald House can continue to be a home-away-from-home where families can be close to each other and the medical care that their children need. It is only through the support of our donors and friends that we are able to provide lodging and other services to hundreds of families at the three Ronald McDonald Houses in the Valley.
