2 What colonies can I choose from: 1. Massachusetts map on pg. 77, pg , chart on pg. 91, pg. 0-3, pg Connecticut map on pg. 77, pg, 79-80, chart on pg. 91, pg. 0-3, pg Rhode Island map on pg. 77, pg , chart on pg. 91, pg. 0-3, pg New York map on pg. 83, pg , chart on pg. 91, pg. 3-4, pg New Jersey map on pg. 83, pg. 84, chart on pg. 91, pg. 3-4, pg (no info sheet for this, but you may still choose it) 6. Pennsylvania map on pg. 83, pg , chart on pg. 91, pg. 3-4, pg. 6, pg Maryland map on pg. 87, pg , chart on pg. 91, pg. 4-6, pg Virginia map on pg. 87, pg , pg , chart on pg. 91, pg. 4-6, pg South Carolina map on pg. 87, pg , chart on pg. 91, pg. 4-6, pg Georgia map on pg. 87, pg , chart on pg. 91, pg. 4-6, pg (New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Delaware do not have enough content to choose) If you search the Internet, DO NOT SEARCH for the STATE. You are looking for information on the COLONY, not the state. What resources can I use: You can use many different programs to complete this project. Here are some that I suggest: Logo you can use Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, Google Drawings, other graphic design apps/programs, or you can draw the logo yourself. If you make it on the computer, you will not be able to print in color at school, so you can print the outline and color it in or print at home. This must be a separate item from the print ad and it MUST BE IN COLOR. Print ad you can use Microsoft Word or Microsoft Publisher, Google Drawings, other graphic design apps/programs, you can print out pictures and words to glue together, or you can draw/paint by hand. Remember it MUST BE IN COLOR. Commercial there are many different apps you can use imovie works great, but you can also use something like Windows Live Movie Maker, or take a video from your phone, but think about production quality. You do not necessarily need to have human actors. Radio spot you can record your voice on a phone or use an app such as Autorap.

3 Social media I have blank templates for Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. If you want to add a picture, you need to draw or print that. You are NOT actually posting it online. This is a fake social media post. It MUST BE IN COLOR. When is this due: Your final project will be due on Tuesday October 16 th. You will need to your commercial/radio spot OR post it on YouTube and send a link to Katelyn.kearns@fayette.kyschools.us BEFORE class on October 16 th. I will respond that I have received it. If you do not get a reply, I have not received it. You will turn in a hard copy of the logo, print ad, and social media post along with a copy of the rubric. You will lose points for a lost rubric. Presentation: You will be presenting to Ms. Kearns, her new student teacher, and the class on Tuesday October 16 th. Part of your grade will come from the presentation. Please dress the part, and exhibit good speech habits during the presentation. Your objective is to PITCH them your idea for an ad campaign, as if they were representatives from the colony looking for an advertising agency. You re trying to win their business. Consider this sequence for your presentation:
