1 NORTH CAROLINA ANGUS ASSOCIATION 2019 Membership Dues Annual Meeting Registration Advertising TO: FROM: North Carolina Angus Association Members Roy Outlaw, President Eddie Leagans, Annual Meeting Chairman RE: 2019 NC Angus Annual Meeting & Trade Show February 9, 2019 The 2019 Annual Meeting of the North Carolina Angus Association will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Forsyth County Agricultural Building in Winston-Salem, NC. The afternoon educational program will feature Kelli Retallick - Genetic Service Director with Angus Genetics Inc. Kelli will discuss Utilizing Genomics and Genetic Selection Tools to Make Progress in this fast-world of genomics, it is important to keep up-to-date on the latest technologies and figure out how to best utilize them to benefit you and your commercial customers. She will explain how genomics affects you now and what the future may hold. Then she will give an update on many of the other projects the American Angus Association has been working on for you this past year. We will meet our trade show sponsors in a Meet and Greet session to learn more about their products and services. Their financial support allows us to offer our meeting at a reasonable cost, so be sure to take time to visit them in our trade show area. The North Carolina Angus Auxiliary will hold their annual meeting and silent auction. Contact Jane Ebert for more information. The NCAA Annual Business Meeting will begin at 3:45 p.m. Followed by the Auxiliary and Junior annual report of activities. The banquet will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a Certified Angus Beef prime rib dinner. Award presentations, recognition of the 2018 NCJAA Boosters, and the auction of the 2019 preferred advertising will take place following dinner. The pre-registration fee for the meeting is $15 per person for members and guests before February 1, After February 1 and on-site registration will be $22.00 per person. We offer a 10 & under pre-registration for $5.00 or $10.00 after February 1. There is a $5.00 charge for attending the afternoon seminar only (see registration form inside for details). For those needing lodging, we suggest the Hampton Inn & Suites (309 Summit Square Ct., Winston-Salem, ) or the Double Tree (5790 University Pkwy, Winston-Salem, ).

At the Stoplight turn left onto Cleveland Avenue. At the first stoplight turn right onto Liberty street. Travel approximately 0.6 miles and turn right at the next stoplight onto Fairchild Drive. The Forsyth County Agricultural Building is 0.3. of a mile on the right. From 52 South: From 52 South from University Parkway headed into Winston-Salem, take exit 112, Akron Drive. At the stoplight turn left onto Akron Drive. Travel all the way down Akron (0.7 miles) to the t-intersection at the airport and turn right onto Liberty Street. Go past the airport for 0.7 miles and turn left at the next stoplight onto Fairchild Road. The Forsyth County Agricultural Building is 0.3 of a mile on the right.
