24 Topic Text Comment I live in Maine and never had any issues getting home when I requested. They treat you like family. ( ) I am a team driver and make a pretty good living here. good miles, feels like family. ( ) 10 years I worked with Landstar and Mercer and all I can say is that Mercer is by far the better Company. Family atmosphere, open door policy great rates. ( ) ( ) Good money, nice people. ( ) I have been driving for Mclane for 18 years now. Pay is great and home time is even better. ( ) Great home time good tractors, trailers not great, for local work decent pay ( ) ( ) Family owned, almost all family members work in company, most family members are former drivers, including the principals and dispatchers.( ) Small excellent Company to work for no lay overs pay is above average. New equipment west coast freight no east coast. Family owned been in business since ( ) Laid back. great small family business. Home time is plentiful. ( ) Good home time, good dollar/mile. ( ) ( ) home when I want usually take 7-8 days off every other month. ( ) ( ) I'm home every night. ( ) Equipment is well maintained and within 3 years. 25 Topic Text Comment ( ) Management doesn't care about their drivers, they'll run you out of hours ever day and demand that you run illegal. ( ) They treat there employees like robots. They don't care about doctors appointments or if you are freezing on the side of the road waiting for repairs. ( ) ( ) They don't care about you,your home time. You will be forced to work maximum hours on worst possible runs. ( ) Dishonest people. Don't work there. Regional Interstate company with stwady routes. ( ) Terrible management, NO money to pay o/o's and they will lie to you to keep you running w/out pay. ( ) (...) A Slavery & Recruiter Fraud. ( ) Taking 1 load every 7 days or so and spend the rest of the time sitting, calling, and ing with no response. ( ) (...) Long wait on phones for repairs, long turn around for repairs at terminal, one year demotion in pay for minor damage. Doesn't pay even after receipts. Payroll does not call back.( ) Pay not good; $24.00 per hour max to work like an animal. ( ) (...) Great company &equipment Low pay and home time. ( ) The pay sucks, you are only a number to the company they dont care if you get paid or not ( ) ( ) Most of their trailers are old and NOT well maintained. ( ) (...) 36 Emotion Text Comment Still working the kinks out as a company but I am happy. Good pay. ( ) Pretty much a dream truck job. Wholesale Organic Produce company, Small fleet (...) Maintenance is excellent if something needs fixing they get it done now. ( ) Honest, plentiful freight, great pay I love it here!! ( ) Tank hazmat common sense ability to be self motivated and run safe and load/unload safely all are musts! ( ) (...) It takes a true dedicated driver to be a Maverick. ( ) ( ) I hope to retire here. Good pay, respect, inclusive. ( ) good company some times waiting for a load ( ) We run the same lane which makes it easier to predict home time. Home EVERY WEEKEND. ( ) Good equipment, amazing benefits, paid time off, personal, birthday, vacation. ( ) (...) was surprised to see a $150 bonus I wasn't even expecting. ( ) ( ) Automatic trucks! Hate them! This company treats it's drivers like crap. Your simply a number to be used and discarded. ( ) They pays sucks really bad and some of the managers are real assholes ( ) ( ) nobody twist your arm if you think it's to dangerous. ( ) (...) My driver manager is pretty good too and she does whatever she can to take care of me when I have a problem. ( ) (...) Asset Managers/Dispatchers harassment, Poor yearly vacation pay ( ) Im very upset about the fuel rebates and loosing pay for the first stop on every trip ( ) ( ) Home weekends Backhauls can be a pain. ( ) They really treat Most everyone like garbage, and its a shame. ( ) ( ) The equipment stinks, all automatics governed at 65 give or take. ( ) (...)
