3 WSADA Convention WSADA Dealer and Associate Members are fundamentally tied to one another. Each group is inherently dependent upon the other to help their businesses be successful. As the trade association that represents the state s franchised new car and truck dealers, WSADA counts on the support of industry associates to help provide training and other important services and opportunities to its Dealer Members. WSADA Sponsorship Opportunities To assist in bringing these two groups together, WSADA offers Associate Members a variety of opportunities for promoting their companies to dealers. This brochure outlines the benefits and requirements of WSADA sponsorship, which include events, grassroots lobbying, and training; as well as paid advertising opportunities. Associate Members receive electronic bulletins on industry and legislative issues, the quarterly Behind the Wheel newsletter, access to the WSADA website, a listing in and access to the annual online membership directory and more, as detailed on the sponsor benefits matrix. WSADA Convention A requirement of WSADA Associate Membership is the sponsorship of at least one Association event or program at a minimum $1,500 level. Only Associate Members who sponsor at the Silver level and above receive an invitation to the annual convention. NETWORK

4 WSADA CONVENTION WSADA s convention attracts 400 to 500 dealers, their families and industry associates. The event gives dealers and sponsors numerous opportunities for education, socializing and networking during the fourday program in a relaxed, family-friendly setting. A variety of sponsorship levels with outstanding benefits provide excellent exposure to a large number of dealers. 6 WSADA Dealership Day WSADA Holiday Celebration Training & Grassroots Events Sponsorship of WSADA training and grassroots events are a great value for ongoing exposure to dealers throughout the year. WSADA offers a very popular annual training series which features both workshops and webinars on a variety of issues important to dealers and their employees. Past topics included: Titling and Licensing with the Department of Licensing, Advertising with the Attorney General s office, Employment Law, Department of Revenue hotspots and more. Through its grassroots events, WSADA assists dealers and their employees in developing positive, ongoing relationships with their state legislators; with the goal of fostering greater understanding and appreciation for the specific operational and economic issues dealerships face, and the contributions franchised dealers make to the state and local communities. Legislation can often impact the vendordealer relationship and Associate Member support can often be crucial to getting beneficial legislation passed or harmful legislation stopped. WSADA hosts Dealership Day, its annual lobbying event, at the state capitol in Olympia. To be recognized at this event, a sponsorship pledge must be received by January 31. 7 Washington State NADA PAC Presidents Club Dinner WSADA publishes industry bulletins each month which are sent electronically to all Dealer Members and their staff, as well as Associate Members when appropriate. Behind the Wheel, a public relations newsletter, is sent via US Mail a minimum of three times a year. Opportunities to submit paid advertising are ongoing. PAID ADVERTISING ($500 per insert or 3 inserts for $1,000) Paid Advertising Washington State Auto Dealers Association will accept paid advertising under the following conditions: Letter of approval from your attorney stating the product or service is legal in the state of Washington Content must be pre-approved by WSADA A limited number of advertisements (no more than 2) will be inserted in one of WSADA s publications Advertising flyers will be sent to dealers no more than once each month WSADA will only accept full-page flyer inserts which must be produced by the Associate Member Any Associate Member may have up to 3 advertisements in a one year period placed in a bulletin or newsletter - first come, first served (i.e. placed in order of receipt) Non-electronic advertisements must be ready to mail Associate Member status must be maintained to advertise It is understood that paid advertisements through WSADA do not constitute an endorsement and WSADA publications containing advertisements will disclose the following statement: The inclusion of any paid advertisement in this publication is not to be construed as an endorsement by WSADA of the product or service offered. 8 WSADA VIP Preview Party Additional Opportunity for Diamond, Platinum and Gold Sponsors WSADA VIP Preview Party at Seattle International Auto Show As owner of the Seattle International Auto Show (SIAS), WSADA prides itself on producing an event worthy of top ten in the nation status. To kick-off the show in style, the Association holds an exclusive opening night launch party. In addition to VIP show access, the event features refreshments, entertainment and the chance to mingle with WSADA board members, SIAS Committee members, and dealers from around the state. Support of the VIP Preview Party is an additional opportunity outside of the required minimum WSADA sponsorship, and provides companies greater visibility and recognition, while supporting dealers and the Association at an even higher level. Sponsorships are limited and open to Diamond, Platinum and Gold sponsors on a first-come basis. Only companies who sponsor the VIP Preview Party are invited to the event (see next page.) 9 WSADA VIP Preview Party The Washington State Auto Dealers Association kicks off the annual Seattle International Auto Show with an exclusive preview party on opening night in CenturyLink Field Event Center s Verizon Lounge. Sponsorships are limited and available to Diamond, Platinum and Gold sponsors on a first-come basis. Only companies who sponsor the WSADA VIP Preview Party are invited to attend. Support of the event is an additional opportunity outside of the required minimum WSADA sponsorship. PREMIER SPONSOR (1) $15,000 Signage at a food station or bar recognizing your company as the Premier Sponsor. Recognition as the Premier Sponsor on the WSADA VIP Preview Party invitation. Premier Sponsor featured on the Sponsor Board at the WSADA VIP Preview Party entrance, as well as on the WSADA VIP Preview Party Map. Sponsorship of a Kid s Ride and Drive car. Company logo displayed on a kid-size car, on the auto show website and onsite signage. 10 ENGAGE at WSADA Convention ENGAGE at WSADA Convention Additional Opportunity for Diamond and Platinum Sponsors ENGAGE Program The ENGAGE program creates opportunities for current and emerging dealers and managers to interact and get involved in the Association. Since it began in 2015, ENGAGE has featured a private reception and/or workshop during the convention, as well as a summer event at such locations as Teatro ZinZanni dinner theater, The Ruins private dining club and Chateau Ste. Michelle winery. WSADA held its first-ever ENGAGE Conference at Suncadia Resort in Central Washington in Nearly 100 people, including 23 dealers and managers from 31 dealerships statewide participated in the two-night program which featured workshops, events and activities for families. Future conferences will be held every other year, with the next scheduled for August 8 10, 2019 at the Fairmont Whistler in British Columbia. Companies who sponsor the WSADA Convention at the Diamond level with a $25,000 cash contribution will receive an invitation for two people to attend ENGAGE events.
