2 Month of a Million Meals 2017 NOVEMBER 18 - DECEMBER 31 Month of a Million Meals is a campaign to raise funds in support of hunger-relief programs through Feeding San Diego. The initiative is supported across all E.W. Scripps Broadcasting & Digital properties in San Diego - ABC10, MeTV and 10news.com - along with the support of Feeding San Diego and San Diego residents.

3 A Note from E.W. Scripps San Diego In 2013, we saw a need for a new focus and a new way to give back to the community. While San Diego may be America s Finest City, many residents face hunger. Imagine what it must be like to have to choose between paying for food or paying for utilities; paying for food or paying the rent or mortgage. We set out to raise ONE MILLION MEALS through a hyper-local initiative to help feed children, families and seniors in need in our community. An enterprise-wide initiative, Month of a Million Meals is supported across all E.W. Scripps Broadcasting & Digital properties in San Diego - ABC10, MeTV and 10news.com - along with the support of Feeding San Diego and San Diego residents. In its first year, we exceeded our goal and raised more than 1.5 MILLION MEALS. Since then, the campaign has grown to raise more than 2.3 MILLION MEALS in 2016.

4 Together We Can Solve Hunger Feeding San Diego is the leading hungerrelief organization in the county, providing 25.2 million meals within the last year, and the only Feeding America affiliate in the region. FSD provides food and resources to a network of more than 225 distribution partners serving 63,000 children, families and seniors each week. Focused on healthy food, education and advocacy, FSD is building a hunger-free and healthy San Diego through innovative programs and collaborative partnerships.
