3 Marion County Fair Overview 3 Marion County Fair Purpose The Marion County Fair strives to provide an enjoyable, safe, year-round, multi-use facility that serves the needs of the Marion County Community; with emphasis on youth education, entertainment, agriculture and recreation that enhances partnerships in building a stronger community! Not-for-profit Organization The Marion County Fair is a 501(c)3 organization that relies on donors, sponsors, association members and patrons to fund its efforts to achieve the purpose defined above. Marion County Fair & Fairgrounds The Marion County Fair is the signature event, held on the fairgrounds for 10 days in late June each year. The Marion County Fairgrounds strives to be a year-round asset to the community offering space for events, meetings, storage and more!

4 4 Marion County Fair Recent Accomplishments Attendance Attendance has been steadily up in recent years ~ We ve achieved above average attendance for 5 straight years ~ We ve set multiple attendance records for overall and daily attendance marks Our fair program has won 1 st place at the Indiana State Fairs & Festivals Convention multiple times! ~ Meaning our sponsors recognized in this publication were well represented in a quality piece given to our fairgoers! Our social media efforts broke all previous impression records and helped drive a record number of users to our website! ~ Millions of social media impressions ~ Hundreds of thousands of website sessions

5 5 Sponsorship Structure Explanation of Sponsorship Structure Our sponsorships are broken down into two basic categories Sponsorship Type & Sponsorship Level. Sponsorship Type Defines the element of the fair you d like to sponsor. Sponsorship Level Defines the emphasis in that sponsorship that you d like your brand to receive. Element & Emphasis

6 6 Sponsorship Types Event Sponsorships Targeted audiences vary depending on event type, exposure throughout event and alongside all promotion of the event before or after. Key examples include, but are not limited to ~ Queen Pageant ~ Demolition Derby ~ Talent Shows ~ Cutest Baby Contest ~ Animal Shows ~ Motorcycle / Truck / Auto Races Day / Night Sponsorships Generates many brand impressions, exposure all day long and by association within any promotion of events happening that day. Key examples include, but are not limited to ~ Opening Night Celebration ~ Kid s Day (both Saturdays) ~ Father s Day ~ Ladies Night

7 7 Sponsorship Types Area / Building Sponsorships Generates many brand impressions, exposure throughout the entire 10-day fair and by association within any promotion of events happening in that area. Key examples include, but are not limited to ~ Park Stage (music & entertainment space) ~ Grandstands (horsepower-related events) ~ Midway (rides & games) ~ Plaza or Main Street (central gathering areas for many features) ~ Family Arts Building (exhibit showcase) ~ Animal Barns (horse, livestock, poultry and petting zoo) Miscellaneous Opportunities Of course there are some opportunities that don t quite fit into the categories defined above, but are still quite valuable. Key examples include, but are not limited to ~ Sponsorship of the special features & attractions coming to this year s fair ~ Various sizes of print ads in the 30,000 copy fair program ~ Printed ad included on the page of our downloadable coupon ~ Booth space Varies by size and location

8 8 Sponsorship Level Most elements offer two levels of involvement Title Sponsor OR Presenting Sponsor ~ Naturally the Title Sponsor level comes with more prestige, greater value and increased levels of recognition. 9 What you get as a Fair Sponsor! 9 Baseline Sponsorship Opportunities Every fair sponsor can benefit by being included in some of our core communications efforts. These include ~ Pre-fair brochure ~ On-site fair program ~ Fair website ~ Fair social media pages By investing in our fair at a minimum $1,000 level, you will be included in these communications! ~ The next pages highlight these opportunities and provide visual examples.

10 What you get as a Fair Sponsor! 10 Logo in our pre-fair brochure! 10,000 copies are handed out around town to pre-promote the fair. These brochures contain a gate admission coupon to anchorage those who read them, to hold on to them until fair-time. Must become a sponsor before May 1 to be included in the pre-fair brochure.

11 What you get as a Fair Sponsor! 11 Logo & call-out in our on-site fair program 30,000 copies are handed out at the gates 1 per family / group (multiple-person impressions) Logo on thank you to sponsors page. Call-out including text & additional logo near the mention of the element sponsored.

12 What you get as a Fair Sponsor! 12 Logo & link inclusion on MarionCountyFair.org Clickable sponsor logos will be posted by May 1 on the MarionCountyFair.org homepage. Homepage receives an average of 175,000+ pageviews over last few years. Clickable sponsor logos will be posted by May 1 on the Thank You to our Sponsors page. Clickable sponsor logos & text will be included near areas where the sponsored element is included on our website.

13 What you get as a Fair Sponsor! 13 Social media tag / mention in multiple posts Each sponsor will be included in at least 2 boosted (paid marketing support by the fair) posts on Facebook (or other social platform). Boosted posts on the fair s Facebook page averaged a reach of 30,000+ each last year.

14 Baseline Impression Levels 14 Custom Element Sponsor Inclusion Among the core, baseline sponsorship elements, each come with a predictable impression level sponsors can expect. ~ Pre-fair brochure ~ On-site fair program ~ Fair website ~ Fair social media pages Expected Baseline Impression Levels All sponsors investing $1,000+ can expect a baseline of 370,000 impressions from a fair sponsorship. ~ Impression totals will grow depending on how sponsors wish to activate the custom opportunities described on the next pages. You ll have the opportunity to benefit in one or more of the following ways ~ On-site booth / display space ~ On-site signage ~ PA announcements ~ Custom ideas Once you ve identified the Sponsorship Type & Sponsorship Level you are interested in, we can put together a custom package including the opportunities mentioned above. ~ The next pages highlight some examples of these opportunities and provide visual examples.

16 What you get as a Fair Sponsor! 16 On-site booth / display space Interact with fairgoers, hand out materials, etc. Get face-to-face exposure with the thousands of fairgoers on-hand each day!

17 What you get as a Fair Sponsor! 17 On-site signage There are plenty of spaces to place signage around our 123-acres of fairgrounds. ~ Depending on your sponsorship level you may be able to place signage around the entire grounds or perhaps just near your sponsored area. Signage provided by the sponsor will be hung for free in the ideal area(s) by the fairgrounds. ~ Signage can be designed / printed for sponsors for an additional fee.

18 What you get as a Fair Sponsor! 18 PA announcements Fair-wide announcements are read hourly to update fairgoers on what is coming up in the following hour. Sponsors are included in multiple reads each day. Many events / areas have their own PA systems and sponsors for those elements can be recognized to the crowd in attendance.

19 What you get as a Fair Sponsor! 19 Custom Ideas Our goal is to ensure our partners get a return on their investment and enjoy the fair! ~ We can integrate sponsors into programming, let sponsors be a part of awards presentations, introduce sponsors to fair participants & more!
