1 April 18, 2016 Greetings! One of Jacksonville s favorite holiday events, the Historic Springfield Holiday Home Tour, will take place again in December this year. This marks our 30th Annual Tour of Homes and we already preparing for this to be another remarkable tour! We hope you will consider partnering with us this year. Springfield Improvement Association & Archives is an 100% volunteer, non-profit organization with fundraising as it s cornerstone for providing countless programs and services. Your support is needed now more than ever. We have a number of open projects, and hope to continue the important work we are doing the Springfield Historic District. 2 Springfield Improvement Association & Archives is dedicated to: Enhancing the quality of life in Historic Springfield through beautifying its public spaces, providing volunteer service and educating the community while preserving its history Founded in 1904, SIAA is the oldest organization in Springfield. We have a 112 year history of neighborhood service and extensive archives, including handwritten minutes dating back to the Our primary focus and investments have been on our neighborhood parks. Our past president, Mrs. W. S. Jennings, worked closely with Henry Klutho on the Hogans creek project in Recently, we completed the installation and dedication of the cornerstone from the lost Jewish Center in Klutho Park, and are now sponsoring the replacement of the Main Street median lighting. Current work and involvement: Parks and Public Spaces Funding and sponsoring the replacement of Main Street median lighting for more economic lighting fixtures Acquired grants (approximately $750,000) for Springfield park improvements Restoration, repair and maintenance of the Klutho Park fountain and gazebo/bandstand Developed a commemorative brick program for surrounding Klutho Park fountain Installed the baseball field bleachers in Klutho Park (Comcast grant) Installed surveillance cameras for Klutho Park feature security Supported installation of the Carlon Robinson plaque in Confederate Park Restoration and maintenance of the Confederate Park rose arbor Installation of Jewish Center Memorial (cornerstone) in Klutho Park Community Development Funding the addition of three Little Free Libraries to be placed throughout Historic Springfield Offer event rental space, bringing non-residents (1,750 so far in 2016) into the neighborhood Support the Main Street Cruise Support SPAR s Annual Springfield (Spring) Home and Garden Tour Present the Annual Springfield Holiday Home Tour Host quarterly Community Yard Sales Administer and support the Historic Springfield Garden Club Host monthly, open community meetings, often with speakers Page 1 of 2

6 AD SIZE GUIDELINES *All sizes are given in width by height. 1/2 PAGE 1/4 PAGE FULL PAGE NO BLEED 8 X X /2 PAGE X X /8 PAGE X Any ads that are smaller than the specified dimensions will be bordered with a 1pt rule. There can be no floating ads on the page nor continuous white space. All ads must be contained, either with color stretching to the edges or a rule line around them. DIGITAL FILE SUBMISSION METHODS Files may be uploaded to (password: SIAA2016) Mailed to SIAA on DVD, CD or USB drive (210 West 7th Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206) or ed to siaa@historicspringfield.org (if less than 10MB) FILE, COLOR & FONT FORMATS Only these file formats will be accepted: Press Ready PDF, TIFF, EPS or JPG. Files must be at least 300 dpi and Mac compatible. All elements within files must be in CMYK color. Any files submitted in RGB, or with RGB elements, will be automatically converted to CMYK and color shifts may occur. Any fonts that are not rasterized, changed to outlines or embedded must be submitted with your ad files. These must be Mac PostScript fonts with both screen and print files included. PC and True Type fonts are not acceptable. *Acceptance and use of ads is at the discretion of the SIAA Board.
