Anyone who is an Indian citizen, residing in India, of 18 years or above as on July 30,2014 and the citizen should be of sound health and mind can register for KBC Mega Event. No person can participate on behalf of another person. Any Contestant who has made it once to the Fastest Finger First round of the current season of the Competition or the last 4 seasons of the Competition that were broadcast on the channel Sony Entertainment Television, will not be eligible to participate in the Mega Events Q. When will the lines be open for Level 1 registrations? A. Registration lines for all viewers with select mobile telephone subscribers (excluding any entries made from PCO, CDMA) are open from 00:00:00 hrs on July 22, 2014, when the question for the First Mega Event goes in the print-ad. What are the different modes of registration for the Mega Event? A. You can register by answering the question given in the local newspaper of Gujarat -Gujarat Samachar, Divya Bhaskar, Sandesh, Gujarat Mitra, Loktej and Bhabkar through an SMS. 2 All general registration through SMSs need to be in the following format: KBCG <space>< A/B/C/D> <space><age in completed years> <space><gender (M/F/O)>. e.g.: If the correct answer to the question aired is A according to you, you are 21 years and 10 months old and are a male; you are required to send KBCG A 21 M. The subscribers of Idea who want to register for Idea Pass are required to send SMSs in the following format: KBCG <space>< Answer Option (A/B/C/D)> e.g.: If the correct answer to the question aired is A according to you, you are required to send KBCG A. Q. What will it cost me to send an SMS? A. Every SMS sent to the registration numbers will be charged as below. BSNL-Rs6/SMS,others-Rs5/SMS *(All Subscribers) IDEA-Rs.5/SMS * (IDEA Subscribers) SMS s sent in the wrong format or with the incorrect answer are also chargeable. Airtel, BSNL, IDEA(excluding IDEA-Punjab), Reliance,Tata Docomo & Vodafone in select circles *Available only on select Operators/Circles. Terms & Conditions on Not available for CDMA users Roaming charges will be levied by your operator as applicable Rates subject to change due to recent TRAI regulations. Please check the rates with your telecom service provider. Q. Can I send more than one SMS to register for the Mega Events? A. Yes, there is no restriction on the number of SMSs sent to register for the events. However, there is no weightage given to number of SMSs sent at the time of shortlisting for Level 2. The final selection is made on a random basis from amongst all valid and correct registrations received and if a person has been selected once, he is not eligible to be selected again for the Mega Event... Q. When will I know the result of the registration? A. If the answer provided by you was both valid and correct and you were selected in the random shortlist you will receive an SMS from us in around five (5) working days from the date of close of registration lines for that question. Q. How will I know the result of the registration? A. All shortlisted registrants from Level 1 will be informed with Level 2 Registration details through a SMS during the period commencing from July 24, 2014 at 02:00:00 PM(IST) to July 25, 2014 to 8:59:59 PM(IST) for the first Mega Event. 3 Q. When will the lines be open for Level 2 of the Mega Event? A. The lines for the USSD quiz for Level-2 shall be open for 36 hours i.e. beginning from July 24, :00:00 AM (IST) to July 25, :59:59 PM (IST) for the first Mega Event. The timelines for the subsequent events will be updated in the Rules and Regulations during the course of the KBC Show. Please note that the shortlisted registrants need to complete the USSD quiz before the close of timelines. Q. What are the different modes of registration? A. You can complete the Level-2 by answering the USSD quiz from the mobile number used for Level 1 Registrations. To proceed with the Level 2, the Registrant has to give the correct answer by choosing the correct option and sending the Entry in the manner prescribed in the grid below and as stated in the promotions of the Show: Dial- in Number to be used for Registration Mode of participation USSD All subscribers String to be dialled *789*525# Q. On what number and in which format do I have to answer the USSD quiz? A. You are required to dial the USSD string *789*525# from your registered number. The first flash message will be a Welcome Message informing you about the USSD quiz and thereafter the USSD flash message will inform you to (i) enter your age (in completed years)*; (ii) enter your gender*and (iii) to give answer to five skill based questions asked one after the other**. *For all questions where you are asked to provide an input, (that is before the skill based questions are asked) the input should be received within the operator defined time limit for USSD flash messages. Please contact the telecom service provider for applicable session / expiry time limits. If no answer is received within the defined limit, you are required to redial the shortcode and proceed with the question. If an invalid option is provided, the USSD gives two more attempts, then terminates the session. You are required to redial the shortcode on termination and proceed with the question. **For all skill based questions where you are asked to provide an input, if the input is not received within 30 seconds, you will be informed that the time has expired and to proceed with the quiz, the shortcode needs to be redialed. On redialing the shortcode, the USSD plays the next question. If an invalid option is provided, the USSD will not give any further attempts to the registrant. Q. What will it cost me to play the USSD quiz? A. No charges will be applicable for registered numbers for all operators except BSNL.The BSNL subscribers will be charged as Rs.3/user for playing this quiz on USSD string. Registrants playing the quiz from any unregistered numbers will not be considered for shortlisting for the next Level on select operators. Rates subject to change due to recent TRAI regulations. Please check the rates with your telecom service provider.

4 Q. Can I play the USSD quiz more than once? A. No. Every shortlisted registrant will be eligible to play the USSD quiz only once. Q. When will I know the result of the registration? A. If the answer provided by you was both valid and correct and you were selected in the random shortlist, you will receive an OBD call from us in around five (5) working days from the date of close of registration lines for that question. Q. How will I know the result of the registration? A. If the answer provided by you was both valid and correct and you were selected in the random shortlist, we will get in touch with you on your registered number please answer the phone yourself. Pre-Event registrations Q. Where and when will the pre-event regsitrations be conducted? A. The Pre-event registrations for the first event will be conducted from the period commencing from July 28, 2014 to July 30, Please note that the dates are tentative and might change subsequently. Company has the right to alter/change the venue of the pre-event registrations at its sole discretion. Q. Can I choose my preferred timing for the pre-event registrations? A. No. You will not be able to choose your time slot, the time slot chosen by Multi Screen Media Pvt. Ltd. will be offered to all shortlisted Registrants. If the short-listed Registrant chooses to decline the same, he renounces further participation in the Mega Event. You will have to be present at the allotted venue on the date and time allotted along with the documents and photographs required (both in original and attested photocopy). Q. What if I am unable to make it for the pre-event registrations? A. Inability to attend the pre-event registrations on the specified date, time and location will close and/or terminate further participation in Mega Event What documents will I require to carry for the pre-event registrations? You will be required to carry with the following documents: 1).6 recent passport sized color photographs of the Participant 2) For valid DOB proof (any one of the following): 1. PAN Card along with Birth certificate 2. Passport 3. Driver s License 4. UID / Aadhar card 3) For Valid address proof (any one of the following):

5 1. Landline Phone / Electricity Bill 2. Passport 3. Voter ID 4. Driver s License or 5. Ration card 6. UID / Aadhar card 4) For Valid Name Proof (any one of the following): 1. PAN Card along with Birth certificate 2. Passport 3. Voter ID 4. Driver s License or 5. UID / Aadhar card 5) An affidavit stating the name and gender of the participants for Registrants who have provided gender as Others : 6) 4 recent passport sized color photographs each of four Phone A Friend Candidate(s). The Phone A Friend Candidate(s) must be above 18 years of age as on 30 th July, 2014, residing in India and of Indian nationality. The Participants will need to carry the original document and 2 attested photocopies of each document. All the above mentioned documents must be in Hindi or English only. (Submission of the aforesaid documents /photos of Phone A Friend Candidates does not imply that the Participant has been selected for further participation.) Q. What will I be required to do at the pre-event registrations? A. Each shortlisted Participant is required to carry the documents, provide your name and address and other details as required, fill a registration form and collect an identity card on the pre-event registrations day. Q. Will I have to bear all expenses in order to be present for the Pre-event registrations? A. Yes, all expenses directly or indirectly connected with being present for the pre-event registrations (travel, conveyance, lodging, stay, meals, etc.) will be borne by the Participant. General Q. What are the selection criteria? A. The main criteria for selection is your general knowledge and grasp over current affairs, which is evaluated across various stages. Q. I have a query. 6 Q. Where can I read detailed terms and conditions governing KBC Mega Event? A. The detailed terms and conditions governing the event will be available on Q. How many times can I participate? A. Each registrant can be shortlisted only once for each Event. However, there is no restriction on the number of times a viewer can participate through registration SMS. Q. What is the Prize Money? A. The person who gets on the hot seat and gets all the questions right will win Rs 7 crore (subject to change on sole discretion of Company / Producer). The prize amount will be subject to tax as per government rules. Q. Some people claim that they can help get entry to KBC Mega Event. Is it possible? A. The only way to enter KBC Mega Event is through participation in the registration process as described in Rules and Regulations. There is no other way of entering KBC Mega Event. This entire process is transparent and monitored by an independent Firm. Any person claiming that he/she can help get you on the show for a consideration is defrauding you. Please contact your local police and report this person. Q. I got an SMS after answering the question asked in the print-ad, but no one has called me after that. Have I been selected? A. The SMS you received was because you were among the short-listed registrants selected by the computer. However, this does not mean that you have been selected for the Event. We will be contacting the successful candidates who have made it to the next round.
