OUR MISSION Jackson Hole WILD is dedicated to promoting public awareness and stewardship of wildlife and wildlife habitat through the innovative use of media. The JHW encourages the production of natural history programming around the world by providing non-fiction media industry stakeholders with an international film forum to conduct business, test new equipment, refine production techniques and celebrate the world s finest nature and science programming. 4 2017 SUMMITS AT JACKSON LAKE LODGE CAT SUMMIT DAY Sunday, Sept. 24 Wild cats are among the most graceful, revered and elusive animals found on the planet. But, their future is uncertain. Habitat loss, human/predator conflict, the black market trafficking of cats has created an urgent need for new and innovative ideas to secure the last wild cat populations that still roam the planet. The Summit takes a hard look at how conservation, science, and media stakeholders can partner to move the needle on conserving the world s wild cats and the habitats they range. Cat Summit Day will focus on the major issues affecting wild cat populations globally. JACKSON HOLE WILDLIFE FILM FESTIVAL & CONSERVATION SUMMIT Monday, Sept Friday, Sept. 29 For more than twenty years 600+ media professionals have gathered in the shadows of the Grand Tetons to celebrate excellence, exchange ideas and be inspired by the landscape and each other. This is no ordinary industry conference: it is a place where collaboration and innovation thrive, where ideas are launched and strategic partnerships are formed. Special workshops and hands-on demos on Mounts, ROVs, Drones, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality as well as the latest cameras -big and small will be featured daily. 5 2017 PUBLIC EVENTS IN DOWNTOWN JACKSON HOLE WILD FEST Friday, Sept Sunday, Oct. 1 Our public festival brings filmmakers, films and keynote speakers at our industry conferences to the Center for the Arts for an unprecedented community festival! This week-long exploration of the wonders and challenges engaging our natural world begins Friday, September 29th. Throughout the weekend, we ll present premiere screenings, tribute events and an exciting 3D, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, as well as this year s winning filmmakers! TEDxJACKSONHOLE Tuesday, August 22nd OUT OF DARKNESS Committed to perpetuate Ideas Worth Spreading, TEDxJacksonHole is designed to inspire, engage, challenge and unify our community as well as showcase Wyoming as a hub of cultural and artistic inspiration and expression.
