The machinery section opens with a selection of general product news stories of around words in length, on machines, equipment, software, services and ancillaries for all processes in the industry. The majority of articles in EPPM have space for at least one or two hi-resolution images of the product being described. We also particularly welcome case studies in the machinery section. Features Supplementing product news is the issue feature. This is a dedicated section for one specific type of machinery, varying with each edition. Spotlights Running throughout the magazine as a theme to the issue, the spotlights also hone in on one type of machine or process. Materials This section follows a similar format to the above, but is dedicated to new grades, additives, masterbatches, composites, compounds and engineering plastics. Most articles are around words plus one or two images. Case studies, Q&As, technical articles and market reports are all considered for inclusion here. 5 Circulation Breakdown EPPM continues to invest heavily in its circulation development, but what is the point in claiming the highest quality circulation if you don t have an independent audit to prove it? So, in 2012 we commissioned the BPA, the world s leading and most stringent magazine auditors to verify our printed circulation. Of course our magazine s circulation is just one element of EPPM s full distribution, as many of our readers prefer to read our title as a digital edition having registered online on our website or having received a registration request and digital copy by . Our BPA audit certificate confirms that EPPM sends out 6,000 printed magazines per issue and each issue is 100% requested by its registered reader. This 6,000 printed copy circulation is the largest requested circulation of any other pan-european magazine in the plastics industry and this requested figure is over a third larger than our nearest competitor. The following figures confirm the diverse distribution of EPPM s printed magazines across the European plastics industry. Our audit also confirms that we have targeted a high percentage of individuals in senior management the ones who hold the purse strings, make the strategic buying decisions and sign the final purchase order. EPPM in Print copies (BPA Audited) Our BPA audit confirms that EPPM send out 6,000 printed copies per issue to 100% of registered readers in 35 countries across Europe. 7 eppm.com eppm.com was part of Rapid News Groups investment in EPPM in The new site has a fresh layout with a proven editorial format adopted elsewhere in our group, designed to be the perfect platform to display the latest news and views in front of just under 100,000 visitors per year from the European and Global plastics industry. Working hand in hand with our weekly news broadcast the new website utilises every opportunity to help you get your sales message over to its visitors. Please read on for a rundown of what s on offer. News and product sections Our website covers the very latest industry news stories as they break, with regular daily updates. We display headline stories in an easy-to-digest format on the homepage. All other news and product stories will be found in relevant sections across the website, so visitors will never be more than a click away from what they are looking for. Whether it s a short visit between meetings or a more detailed search through our directory, our new site will be the ultimate tool to boost their process. Plastrep.com a new global directory Also new in 2013 was EPPM new directory, Plastrep.com. eppm.com is an entry point to this global directory, designed to play host to companies at every end of the supply chain, including producers of raw materials, manufacturers of machinery and equipment for every major process, as well as distributors and agents, consultant services and event organisers. The site is designed for quick and simple sourcing of a local product or supplier wherever the user may be based. A world of tweets It s official twitter has reached the plastics industry in a big way, and eppm.com has fully embraced this digital form of communication. We have established a strong community of processors and suppliers, who use our twitter feed as a forum for exchanging ideas, and alerting colleagues of the latest developments all of which will be featured in full view on the homepage of our new website. If you have something to contribute to this expanding community and you've got news to broadcast on twitter, simply tweet and we'll get your message seen by our multitude of followers and on our website. Industry events listings How many times have you been in a meeting and no one can remember the exact dates of an important event? That s why eppm.com features an events listing section, so visitors to the site can use it to plan their year ahead. Advertising opportunities on eppm.com We took a fresh approach with the size, shape and position of the advertising opportunities with our new web site. Rather than asking advertisers to present their sales message in a static banner we made available new positions almost four times the size, and with the new (almost square) MPU (Mid-Page Unit) we offered an advertising position five times the surface area of previous ads. And for those companies who wish to retain the more traditional logo/hotlink approach we have catered for them also, but we re offering twice the space in comparison with the old site for the same price. A word or two about MPUs (Mid-Page Units) We have already mentioned the size benefits of a MPU position on our new web site, but the stand out benefit is a captured audience every time a visitor sees your advert. So either through your own design team or with the support of ours (at no extra cost), you can present your company s sales message through a multi-framed animated gif, giving you a far better opportunity to get your message across and encourage the visitor to click through to your site to find out more. Banner advertising The headline banner on any website is always the first position to catch the eye when logging on, but so often web designers forget that it disappears when visitors scroll down the page. We have solved that problem with our new site by also introducing banners at the foot of the page. Advertisers can now either secure a position at the top or bottom of the page or both! It s not rocket science, but it gets you noticed. visit our website at
