4 When Roy Blinn, then-owner of Calvary Tire and Brake began advertising with the Kenwood Press, he said his business increased by 30 percent: It s the best bang for your buck. It s one of the greatest ad tools. I think it beats radio if you re a local business. Roy Blinn, Nov Why advertise in the Kenwood Press? Community papers are a great advertising vehicle, since they cover local news and local events. This kind of hyper-local focus means that the people the Kenwood Press goes to will read and spend a lot of time with the newspaper, thus increasing the chance your ad will be seen. Many people tell us they read the paper cover to cover. This is rare for newspapers. Advertising in the Kenwood Press is less expensive than direct mail advertising, since the paper is mailed directly to 7,000 separate addresses (over 10,000 people). For what it would cost you to mail directly to 7,000 addresses, you could get a business card in the Kenwood Press for 24 issues. Another copies are distributed to businesses in Sonoma, Sonoma Valley, and Santa Rosa. Many advertisers have advertised with us continually for over five years, some for over a decade. Kenwood Press is an affordable and efficient use of your advertising dollar. Kenwood Press is a family-owned, independent newspaper. We have no agendas, just the goal of serving the community in which we live and work, and getting out important information about news and events on a timely basis. For Sonoma, down-valley and Santa Rosa businesses, the Kenwood Press is the best way to access the Northern Sonoma Valley, which represents a lot of spending power for a wide variety of products and services. No other newspaper saturates this market like we do. We ve been running the Kenwood Press for more than 15 years and have established a solid and anticipated presence in Northern Sonoma Valley. A truly comprehensive community newspaper that compares favorably with the best. Even better coverage of Oakmont than the Oakmont News. You support greatly the whole community. Yes No Not sure We learn more from your paper than any other. Thanks for publishing it. Declined to state 3.7% No 19.1% Not sure 0.8% Yes 76.4% I enjoy the feeling of a community caring for each other as I read through your paper; often reading about folks I know and admire. Thank You! The Kenwood Press offers, by far, the best Glen Ellen news coverage. I appreciate the quality of this small town newspaper. You folks manage to combine all facets of news I feel are most relevant to life in what s left of the Redwood Empire. I like to find people in the classifieds. Massage, handyman, gardeners. It s the only place I go to find help. I think your paper has been comprehensive, fair, and interesting to local residents. The local news, and current issues, and items we do not get in the national news or in The Press Democrat is appreciated. I read the advertisements so I know what is out there in our neighborhood.
