It is short and to the point. No confusion on the meaning of the cause. It brings over our entire message in just 3 words. Communication objective : spread awareness about the weeaboo epidemic and attempt to gain funding to give aid to the emerging weeaboos. Our target audience will be the youth of today and their parents. This is because the youth are most likely to be influenced. The young mind is more susceptible to manipulation and they have regular access to the internet and their mobile devices. As well as that the fact that many anime shows are aimed at young audiences. Their parents will also be very protective of their children and that is why we are using pathos. Here is our moodboard showing the regular mindset of an emerging weeaboo:

3 Format/concep t: We are using sad music and sad visuals to instill a feeling of pity in the watchers. This will motivate them to help the victims of the weeaboo epidemic. Logo : For the logo we used the likeness of an anime character in a forbidden sign. We predominantly used the colours yellow and and red because these are the most popping colours. Red is also often associated with stopping (like for example a stop sign). Yellow signs are often a warning and we are trying to warn people about the weeaboo epidemic. Yellow is also the first color processed by the human eye, so we used it to draw attention. We also used our name in the logo which allows people to remember what our cause is. Song : for the song we used a sad anime song from the internet. Link. We decided to use a sad song because it would reinforce the feelings of the audience members and make them more likely to pity the weeaboos. This in turn will make them more likely to contribute to the cause. We decide to use an anime song because it stays with the theme of the video and makes our actors seem more weeby. Slogan : Help them before too late. We use this slogan because it give a sense of urgency. If the people don t help and contribute to the cause they may be dooming the weeaboos. Since we place this at the end of our video or the bottom of our posters, the audience will already be pitying the weeaboos they saw in the video or on the poster and by telling the audience that they only have limited time to help said weeaboos they will rush to quickly contribute. This is partially due to guilt as they would feel bad if they were too late to help those poor souls they saw. Advertising Campaign : Our main advertisement will be a short video showcasing some weeaboos and describing the problems they have (see script above). This video is mainly pathos and plays on the feelings of the audience. It attempts to instill a feeling of pity in the watcher so that they will attempt to help the poor weeaboos. We will also be using posters like the one shown here. These will be asking people for help. This will work as a reminder to those who saw the video and incentivize them to donate and help the cause. We also have japanese wording at the top which says help us before it s too late. This is a more personal message and it is written in japanese to show it came from the weeaboos themselves.

4 Presentation of process : We will be presenting our advertising campaign in a very formal and professional manner. This is a serious illness and it should not be joked about. Our video will also have the same serious tone. It will however not be completely clinical, we will also have an emotional side. We will be showing how if we don t help it could have catastrophic repercussions for the youth of today.
