2 Summer Solstice June 23 rd Solstice Stage Sponsorship $2,000 Sponsorship filled- Freedom First Credit Union The Summer Solstice Festival, now in its fourth year, has exceeded expectations with those eager for summertime fun crowding the downtown area of Main and Lee Streets for a variety of activities for the entire family. The main and only stage for continuous live entertainment was a highlight, and your business can be the primary sponsor. On-stage banners; extensive advertising in our radio and newspaper ads; and prominence in the festival program will boost your image as a downtown advocate! Space will be allocated for you to set up your own booth for handouts, freebies, whatever you wish, to promote your business. You will even get a reserved table in the Beer Garden for ten guests to enjoy the festivities included in this sole sponsorship. Beer Garden Sponsorship $1,000 Sponsorship filled- Sue & Mike Drzal LeClair Ryan Adult festival goers can enjoy a cold brew in the comfort of our Beer Garden, adjacent to our stage for easy listening to the fabulous entertainment while sipping summer suds! You will even get a reserved table for ten guests to enjoy the festivities included in this sole sponsorship. Post your business banner and we ll include you in all event advertising and give you exposure on the Downtown Blacksburg, Inc. website for nine months. Water Wars Sponsorship $1,000 Kids of all ages launch water balloons from within opposing battle stations. The Object: Get your opponent WET and HAVE FUN! Water Wars is the latest summer fun craze and attracts a large viewing crowd as well as a long line of participants. New to Summer Solstice Fest in 2012 this sponsorship offers booth space in the festival to showcase your business; banner space in the viewing area; exposure on the Downtown Blacksburg, Inc. website for nine months; sponsorship announcements from our stage and inclusion in all print advertising. Flea Circus Sponsorship $500 Sponsorship filled- Wireless Zone The most popular attraction at Solstice, Jim Alberti and his fleas put on three spectacular, crowd-pleasing performances throughout the day. A much-loved favorite of the Summer Solstice Fest, Jim promises that the costumes worn by the fleas for the 2011 festival will indeed be the same as they wore when performing at the Kennedy Center. Jim and the fleas plan to vacation at Myrtle Beach just prior to Solstice, so they will be rested and ready to go! Sponsorship announcements from our stage, inclusion in some print advertising, and a booth space next to the Flea Circus where you may display your banner, etc., are included. Dog Parade Sponsorship $500 Sponsorship filled- NRV Varmints Solstice goers are canine crazy and welcomed the opportunity at last year s event to parade their pooches, some in fine attire, and show off their tricks. More than 45 participated and took home a variety of treats and prizes donated by local pet goods providers. Market Square Park at the corner of Draper Road and Roanoke Street is filled with Farmers Market regulars, art collectors, and visitors craving local flavor in this quaint setting. Your business banner display, information booth, and recognition in all advertising for this event are included. ****** Steppin Out 2012 August 3 rd & 4 th Main Stage Sponsorship $6,500 Two full days of regionally and nationally-acclaimed performers bring throngs of people to enjoy the scene, where your business can be the headline sponsor. Between-act announcements sing your praises; enormous on-stage banners shout your name; and the festival program will feature your organization prominently. We ll throw in five collectible Steppin Out t-shirts and a shaded booth space on College Avenue, too right in the festival s lively center. This is top billing for an event that just keeps growing in popularity. The Steppin Out Main Stage is home to top-name local and regional acts, as well as some nationally-known surprises. The College and Draper Food Court $4,000 New at 2007 s Steppin Out, this spot quickly positioned itself as one of the festival s most popular venues. 4 Acoustic Stage Sponsorship $3,000 The Acoustic Stage is on the town s Main Street, also the main thoroughfare for the festival, where two days of local and regional entertainers draw appreciative crowds and potential patrons for your business. The sponsor here supports local musicians and their devoted fans in a town that resonates with regional pride. This sponsorship also provides space for your banner on the stage, inclusion in the festival program and three free t-shirts. The Acoustic Stage is a great setting for this more intimate form of performance. Sponsorship covers the cost of the stage and tent rental, chairs for a devoted audience, and all the requisite sound equipment. Because of the seating and setting, this stage gathers an appreciative audience for longer.
