If it s an outdoor adventure visitors seek, they ll discover plenty of opportunities in North Dakota. National and state parks, scenic drives, golfing, hiking, biking, water adventures, birding, rodeos and winter activities all await visitors, and the North Dakota Travel Guide will help them find the next adventure. The traditions of our culture and heritage come alive year-round. From our largest cities to our smaller towns, visitors are certain to discover an event or museum that can t be missed. Visitors will find information in the Travel Guide about North Dakota s theaters, fine arts, arenas, sporting teams, casinos, racetracks and more. I m often asked if a printed Travel Guide still makes sense. The answer is a resounding, Yes! Not only are printed publications seeing a resurgence, we know that this official guide to traveling North Dakota is the go-to piece for trip planning. Your display ad will be placed inside 315,000 attractive, well-read North Dakota Legendary Travel Guides. Up to 92,000 guides will be distributed as a supplement to the February 2018 North Dakota Living (more than 200,000 readers statewide). North Dakota Tourism Division uses the guide as its main publication to promote tourism out of state, abroad and here at home, making it the best source for reaching potential travelers to our state. North Dakota Tourism Division will mail the guide to those who inquire about North Dakota by mail, through its website NDtourism.com, through its tollfree telephone number, inquiries from social media, or in response to the television, radio, print ads, online and out-of-home advertising; as well as newspaper inserts, direct mail and outdoor (hunting & fishing) marketing. The guide will be available at visitor centers, convention and visitors bureaus, chambers of commerce, I-94, I-29, Hwy 2 & Hwy 83 rest areas, major airports and port of entries across the state and tourism locations throughout North Dakota. TRADE & SPORTS SHOWS North Dakota Tourism Division will distribute the guide at trade shows, both nationally and internationally, and at several regional sports shows throughout the Upper Midwest, promoting North Dakota to outdoor enthusiasts. North Dakota Living will distribute the guide at more than 12 farm, home and cultural trade shows throughout North Dakota. WEBSITES Events and festivals are eligible for free listings on the North Dakota Tourism Division website, NDtourism.com. This is an easy-to-use website that will allow you to upload large files directly to an individual here at NDAREC/North Dakota Living. Follow the steps below to get started: 1. Go to your web browser and type in the address, 2. When the page pops up on your screen, there will be a small dialogue box on the left-hand side, which says Send up to 20GB. 3. Please go to the Add files button and select your file(s). You can place up to 20GB of materials to upload to us. 4. Once the files have been selected, you will go to the + Add more friends button and input cvanhorn@ndarec.com 5. After the files have been selected and the recipient has been selected, you can go to the Message box and input a message. 6.
