Box Houston, Texas The American Chemical Society Greater Houston Section (ACS-GHS) was officially formed in 1917 as the Southeastern Texas Section with joint headquarters in Houston and Port Arthur. The boundaries and our name have changed over the years but we are still going strong in our 100th year! We are planning a special celebration to mark this momentous occasion to honor our members from over the last 100 years that have received annual local, regional and national ACS awards, our past and present officers, Project Seed students, ACS scholarship recipients, our current 50 and 60 year members and other distinguished honorees. The 100 year celebration will be on Friday, November 10, 2017 starting at 6 p.m. with a reception at the Briar Club located at 2603 Timmons Lane, Houston, Texas Dinner will be served at 8 p.m. Tickets will cost $65.00 for this special dinner celebration which will include a sponsored wine and beverage reception. To purchase tickets, please make a check or money order/cashier check payable to ACS-GHS and mail it to ACS-GHS, P.O. Box 66181, Houston, Texas You may also purchase tickets online via PayPal using acs-ghs@acs-ghs.org. Please refer to newsletters or our website for more details. The deadline to purchase dinner tickets is Tuesday, November 7, Tickets will not be issued for this event but all paid reservations will be held at registration on the night of the event. Please plan carefully as No tickets will be sold at the door. The attire will be semi-formal for this special event. Self parking is available at no cost. Sponsorships are available starting at $10,000 each as well as special table reservations starting at $1,000. The proceeds from this event will be used to support our GHS programs including Project Seed program and other mentoring activities.
