As education funding decreases, one of the first programs to be scrapped in schools across the nation is that of music. Studies show that youth involvement in music education supports the development of the student's whole mind, in addition, studies also show that at-risk students who have access to the arts in or out of school have better academic results and better workforce opportunities. SBS Music Competition will provide students scholarships for music education.
