4 Print Ads Print ads on rock or paper are a popular form of media. Most of us rely on our sight to give us clues about the world. Pictures and text are powerful. On page 28 is an example of a print ad from You can deconstruct it like any other form of media. Directions: Study the ad on page 28 and then answer the questions below. When you have finished, write a couple of sentences saying if you like or dislike the ad and why. 1. What product is being advertised? 2. Who paid for this ad? 3. To what age group and gender does this ad appeal? 4. What methods of advertising are used in this media? 5. What is the obvious message in this ad? 6. What are the hidden messages in this ad? 7.
