1 INTRODUCTION It is the annual technical fest organized by the Department of Metallurgical Engineering, Centre of Advanced Studies, IIT (BHU), Varanasi. Provides a competitive platform for engineering students of Metallurgy all over India. Advanced Techno-management events, guest lectures from renowned experts, workshops, informal events and a cultural night constitutes the basic structure of this luculent fest. This year, ANVESHAN is being held on 13th-14th April 2013.

6 PRASHNA - INDUSTRIAL DEFINED PROBLEM This event calls upon some of the brightest mind of the country to confront with real life problems faced by industries and propose a logical solution by applying their knowledge in realm of practical world. Wonderful opportunity for students to have a practical exposure to the industrial problems.

7 RICERCA- PAPER & POSTER PRESENTATION Anveshan' 13 with the same convention brings, RICERCA, the paper presentation competition, which will provide a platform to come ahead and share knowledge in the never-ending quest for seeking the ultimate truth. The participants are required to present papers and posters on a various academic based subjects and will be judged by prominent Professors. Ideas will be invited in form of variety of technical papers and posters showing some of the best research and application in various fields.

8 CODE METALLURGY Struck by the insidious, computer driven tendency to take things out of the domain of theory to the domain of practicality, Simulate gives the participants a platform to solve some fundamental problems in metallurgy by using basic programming and simulation tools. Some fundamental problems in field of metallurgy will be given as a problem to be solved by using basic programming and simulation tools.

9 SIMULATION- PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION Simulation the photography event is back this year in ANVESHAN 13. Enjoying the status of one of the most successful event in the previous year. This event now aims to inspire budding photographers to show their creativity to perceive photogenic beauty in metallurgical domain and to capture the same with some thought behind every click, so for what are you waiting for just start exploring. 10 SANRACHNA- MODEL MAKING COMPETITION This competition which aims at providing students with scope for imagination and explores their creative acumen by practical application of their knowledge. The aim is to make a model of a metallurgical problem statement that will be issued.

11 INNOVIZ- SOCIAL INNOVATION A ground breaking idea in mind and a personality which can mobilize people and resources to affect wideranging social change, is what we are looking for at Innoviz. It provides a vehicle for taking student innovations from idea to reality, Innoviz aims at contributing to the society with a path breaking idea that revolutionizes the way society lives.

12 CADENCE- LITERARY EVENTS The quest for knowledge and truth is never ending. It can be quenched only a little by discussing and debating on it. Cadence provides the perfect environment for it. This event lays a platform for eloquent orators to show their talent and provides an opportunity for budding speakers to hone their soft skills. Students take the Centre stage to exchange their views, discuss and debate on various raging topics.

13 GURUKUL- GUEST LECTURES An opportunity to listen to our role models inspires us like nothing else. With this thing in mind, ANVESHAN will host several guest lectures by top academicians, corporate leaders; people who rule their fields with their brilliance and dexterity. Lectures will be in the form of interactive sessions and the speakers will share with us their vision, success stories, advice etc. A stage where intellectuals from across the country will come together to deliver lectures on various topics related to metallurgy and material science.

The name and logo of the PLATINUM SPONSOR would be present on all promotional material of the fest. The company s name and logo would be prominently displayed on the Anveshan website which receives more than 5000 hits even before the fest has begun. Publicity of the fest and the sponsors would be done through various daily newspapers, FM radio and College newsletter published during Anveshan. Billboards, banners and posters bearing the SILVER SPONSORS name and logo would be placed all over the BHU campus and where maximum visibility is assured.
