2 2 Thank you for hiring a space for your event at Liverpool Philharmonic. Here is everything we think you need to know to get the word out about your event. It is the hire s responsibility to promote your event but we want it to be a success so our Marketing Team at Liverpool Philharmonic can provide advice and have created a range of products and communication channels which you can access in addition to the services which are included in the hire fee. If have any queries, please don t hesitate to get in touch. We look forward to working with you.

3 3 Marketing services included in the hire fee Website liverpoolphil.com Your event will receive its own event page on our website liverpoolphil.com which receives approximately 7,000 visits daily. We will include online ticket purchasing for your event and can include sound clips and video clips as well as links to artists websites and social media. The website address is featured on all our print, ads, posters, hoardings and is also actively promoted online via Google AdWords. What s On Guide Three times per year (usually March, July and November) we produce a colour newspaper style brochure for all events occurring at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall and any external promotions. This brochure is sent to 60,000 recent Liverpool Philharmonic ticket buyers. Another 15,000 copies are distributed throughout Merseyside. Your event will be listed in the What s On Guide (event title, date, start time, ticket prices and a 50 word description most event listings will also be accompanied by an image but this is at our discretion) subject to your information being provided by the publication deadlines.

4 4 Social Media We will share and promote your event through our social media channels to a continually growing, engaged and loyal audience, with different platforms being used to reach different followers depending on the nature of your event. Liverpool Philharmonic has over 30,000 active Facebook followers and over 30,000 Twitter followers: we can create, host and share social media content for your event or work with you to make effective use of existing content. In house print distribution We will distribute up to 2,000 A5 flyers for your event in our venue. Please note that if you send in excess of 2,000 flyers, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to distribute these and surplus stock cannot be returned. In venue we have a network of digital screens in the venue. We have no printed poster sites. Please do not send any additional print unless specifically discussed with us: anything beyond the flyers specified above including posters, banners, pop up displays, point of sale displays etc - cannot be displayed and will be disposed of. Distribution of additional print for your event to relevant sites and venues throughout Liverpool and the North West can be arranged as an additional service when making your booking with us.

5 5 What we need from you Getting your event online and in our brochure To list your event on our website and in our brochure, we ll need you to provide the following assets and information: Image At least one high resolution image for your artist / event 300 dpi, a minimum of 1,280 x 630 pixels and free from text. Please make sure you provide us with appropriate artwork and assets as soon as possible when booking your event to ensure that we can give your event as much exposure possible across all our media platforms, you know that event announcements are a critical opportunity for exposure. Copy 200 words, or two paragraphs Any press quotes about the artist, show or artist s latest release Venue-specific copy is preferred to increase search engine optimisation Please note that all event copy is edited at the discretion of the Marketing Team to suit corporate style, tone and channel. Artist Biography 200 words, or two paragraphs Copy for each artist performing, including support acts. Assets Links to promo video of the artists tour, live video or music video, and recent interviews on Youtube or Vevo. Music: Send us music you are happy for us to publish - files, CDs and links to Soundcloud. Links to boost the interactivity, and therefore exposure of your event, including - Official artist/tour website URL Twitter, Youtube channel Soundcloud, Spotify All images, copy and links should be sent to

7 7 Exit Leafleting We will exit leaflet other events at Liverpool Philharmonic with flyers for your performance. Exit leafleting will be discussed and agreed at the time of contracting your show to ensure we find an appropriate crossover audience. E-News We will include your event in our monthly e-newsletter which is distributed to over 17,000 subscribers. Where supplied we can also include sounds clips and video clips which increases the click through rate. Flyer Distribution in Liverpool We will arrange leaflet distribution in appropriate venues, organisations and local hotspots in Liverpool City Centre (and further afield if appropriate). You will need to supply the leaflets for distribution. Poster distribution in Liverpool We will arrange for poster distribution in Liverpool. You will need to supply the posters for distribution. Four-sheet poster sites in Liverpool Philharmonic Hall We have a small number of premium poster sites in our venue, located in prime dwell locations our Box Office, Main Foyer and Grand Foyer. These are available through our Print package only. Targeted E-Solus A targeted list of previous bookers, look-a-like audiences and specifically segmented audiences will be generated to send an e-solus to specifically about your event. Promoted Social Media Post We will promote your event using our Facebook page. Soundcloud Playlist We will feature your Soundcloud content in one of our featured playlists (to be confirmed subject to website development). Onsite External Hoarding There are four premium hoarding sites on Hope Street outside Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. With footfall and traffic these sites provide great opportunities to see and are available through our Print package only. Digital Screens in Venue We have 10 digital screens across our venue. These are located on entry and exit points to the main auditorium, in the Grand Foyer, the Main Foyer and Music Room entrance. We will generate artwork and include your event on the digital screens for all appropriate events.

8 8 Social Media Competition Competitions are a great way to reach new and existing audiences. We will work with you to develop an appealing competition to generate reach and online chatter. Liverpoolphil.com homepage feature 2 weeks Your event will appear on our homepage for a minimum of 2 weeks and will be viewed by more than 98,000 people. Affluent weekly titles, Liverpool Metro & Liverpool ECHO We can coordinate advertising in local papers covering the NorthWest Region. Please give us a call to talk through your enquiries. Extended entry in What s On Guide All events are given a listing in our What s On Guide, but with an extended entry, strong copy and a great image your event will dominate the page. Space in the What s In Guide is limited and everyone wants an extended entry but this is available exclusively through the Print package. BidoLito / The Skinny Bido Lito! is the Liverpool Music Magazine featuring a Gig guide and a Ticket shop. The Skinny platforms are trusted sources of independent cultural journalism, provided by a passionate community of writers, photographers, illustrators and artists from across the North West. As part of the Print Lite and Print packages we will include your event in our What s On listing advert. Direct Mail Liverpool Philharmonic has a database of 160,000 ticket buyers which can be segmented and targeted in a variety of ways (geographically, by show attendance, etc). We will agree a direct mail campaign strategy and format with you at the time of finalising the contract for your event.
