1 AzPA Annual Convention Thursday June 9th to Sunday June 12th 2016 Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa Chandler, AZ This four-day annual convention provides continuing education, social, and networking opportunities for pharmacy professionals of all experience levels. Educational sessions focus on pharmacy topics pertinent to a variety of patient populations. Sponsors and exhibitors will have the opportunity to mingle and socialize with the attendees during the Exhibit Hall functions, breaks, and receptions. Attendance expectation: 500 (not including exhibitors) The 2016 AzPA Annual Convention will offer more than 15.0 hours (1.5 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy education for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. In addition to the more than 25 CPE activities, the Convention features a special Student Track with unique programing for student pharmacists. 3 Meals / Speciality Sponsor Packages MEAL FUNCTION SPONSORSHIP: A company may sponsor an AzPA meal function 1 of 3 ways. 1. Sponsorship in name only: Funds provided to AzPA for a reduced flat fee (to be negoiated) that won t include an allotted presentation. 2. AzPA-led sponsor presentation: Per person or flat rate funds will be provided to AzPA. AzPA will use funds to order food, organize A/V, market sponsor and ensure proper room setup. 3. Sponsor-led presentation: The sponsor pays the hotel directly for any food or A/V needs. The sponsor coordinates RSVP lists and room set up. AzPA agrees to market the sponsors presentation to its registrants as the sole meal opportunity for that time period. MEAL FUNCTION OPTIONS: Breakfast $5,000/day (3 available: Thursday, Saturday and Sunday) Luncheon $7,500/day (2 available: Thursday and Sunday) This is your opportunity to present information about your product or services to pharmacists attending the AzPA Annual Convention. The material presented in Product Theaters may concentrate on a specific product. Sessions are promotional and shall not offer continuing pharmacy education credit unless approved by AzPA. 4 Convention Education Program Sponsorships NEW RESIDENCY CONFERENCE $5,500 The 2nd Annual Southwestern States Residency Conference on Friday, June 10, 2016 provides a platform for residents and fellows to present their research. This conference is attended by pharmacy residents and preceptors from across the Southwest. Expected attendance This opportunity can be split between two sponsors. AZPA AWARDS LUNCHEON $7,500 The AzPA Annual Awards are presented during this luncheon, honoring members for their contributions to the profession and the association. Sponsorship includes invitation to and recognition at the event, and the AzPA Annual Convention on-site program. Banner signage during session Logo recognition on AzPA website with link to your site for entire month of June 2016 Each year, AzPA recognizes those members who demonstrate outstanding leadership and dedication to the pharmacy profession. Award sponsorship is acknowledged on the award itself, in the annual convention event pro-gram, and at the award presentation. The sponsor receives two passes to attend the awards ceremony and make the official presentation to the recipient. AzPA Pharmacist of the Year Award $450 An Arizona pharmacist who has actively demonstrated outstanding leadership and service for AzPA or for the profession of pharmacy in Arizona during the previous year. Accomplishments include providing significant AzPA organizational leadership and reflect ongoing personal time and effort to mentor and/or serve the needs of AzPA members and Arizona pharmacy. AzPA Technician of the Year Award $450 An Arizona pharmacy technician who has excelled in the field of pharmacy technology and has demonstrated a high level of service and professionalism in pharmacy during the previous year. Elias Schlossberg Award $450 The highest level of recognition for an Arizona pharmacist who has made significant contributions to health-system pharmacy in the form of sustained exemplary lifetime service that reflects positively on the profession of pharmacy. Arizona Pharmacy Hall of Fame $450 In honor of a pharmacist member of AzPA with at least 10 years of practice experience in Arizona who has demonstrated innovation or excellence in practice, education, or research. This person is an Arizona pharmacy pioneer who has been instrumental in advancing the profession of pharmacy by promoting the importance of innovation and integrity in the field. AzPA Exemplary Care $450 An Arizona pharmacist who provides or enables exemplary patient care, regardless of practice setting, by consistently providing exemplary patient care services, serving as a role model for contemporary pharmacy practice, or developing or fostering the development of an innovative pharmacy practice resulting in improved patient care. 6 Convention Exhibitor Opportunities We acknowledge the value of our exhibitors by presenting two meeting functions in the Exhibit Hall. Your exhibitor programs will be held Friday, June 10, 2016, for a dinner reception from 5:30PM to 7:00PM and Saturday, June 11, 2016, from 12:30PM to 2:00PM for a buffet luncheon. NOTE: These functions are included in the conference registration and there are no conflicting events scheduled during this time. All attendees are invited and encouraged to visit and enjoy the meal functions in the Exhibit Hall.Upon your paid booth registration, the list of attendees including contact information will be provided prior to AND after the event. Your participation as an exhibitor is very important to AzPA.
