1 2016 EVENT SPONSORSHIP WISCONSIN

2 MAKE A DIFFERENCE and have fun doing it. Sponsoring the 30x30 Nature Challenge in Wisconsin provides you the unique opportunity to connect with a wide audience throughout the state, build brand awareness, and show your company s support of an important cause: sustainable and resilient building practices. Take the opportunity to show value and support, and gain exposure to the U.S. Green Building Council Wisconsin audience and the wider Wisconsin community through strategic brand placement. Sponsorship provides your organization a feature spot as part of a high-visibility initiative, as well as a new way to engage clients and employees. "A number of my coworkers have joined me in the challenge and the amount of social interaction within our workplace has been overwhelmingly positive. An unintended side affect of our participation has been an improved workplace environment. Everyone wants to share what they are doing, posting photos and stories on our internal webpage. Participants are noticeably more active and upbeat as we support and push each other."

3 ABOUT THE EVENT The goal of the 30x30 Nature Challenge is to create greater understanding of people s interaction with nature and the built environment. Traditionally, humans have pushed nature aside, covered it up, and dominated it, rather than building in a more sustainable way to exist in concert with natural systems. However, the tradition is changing with the reality of climate change and human health issues. At USGBC Wisconsin, we believe buildings and communities should regenerate and sustain the health and vitality of all life within this generation. To help spread the word about coexisting and embracing our natural environment, we launched the 30x30 Nature Challenge and asked people to spend 30 minutes each day for 30 days in nature. Additionally, contact with nature relieves stress, increases memory performance and creativity, and improves attention span. It s beneficial for workplace relations and collaboration efforts. How did it go in 2015? Over 1,500 Wisconsinites took part in the challenge 30 companies and nonprofit organizations took part Participants reflected on their participation and found they spent significantly more time visiting with friends and less time watching television or texting on their phone WGBA and challenge sponsors were featured by many different media outlets (including an exclusive interview on Wisconsin Public Radio) 30x15 Nature Challenge for K-12 Schools May 11 31, 2016 Your sponsorship dollars will not only help us provide an even better program in June, but allow us to provide local schools with a new activity and materials.
