3 ABOUT BTEP: B.T.E.P. stands for Bringing Together Extraordinary People - a community inspired initiative, it began in 2014 as a 501c3, Tax ID# B.T.E.P. works to transform the lives of inner-city children and families in West Charlotte. The children we serve face serious challenges including poverty, crime, unemployment, and low educational attainment. Thus, we proudly serve a challenged community that receives minimal support. OUR MISSON: Utilize the athletic platform to provide under-served youth and sports programs with new equipment while addressing the socioeconomic needs and emotional health of our communities through education, wellness, and anti-bullying. CORE VALUES: 1. Strengthen involvement of athlete foundations within under-served communities. 2. Set goals to improve under-served communities through educational resources. 3. Embrace health and wellness by providing health screenings to the under-served. 4. Empower all students to create an anti-bullying program in their schools. 5.
