3 NEW FEATURES NAPA PROLink NAPA PROLink replaces the old Napa catalog. The user can select parts and post them back to Smart ecat for estimating and ordering. The Quick Launch icon for NAPA will open Smart ecat with the NAPA PROLink catalog if the option is selected in General Options in the Configuration module. Copyright 2012 by R. O. 4 To set up the NAPA PROLink catalog, select the NAPA supplier in the Suppliers edit screen in the Configuration module and select the NAPA Electronic Order type. ** NAPA PROLink is only available in the United States at this time. Others should select the Use legacy NAPA catalog option on the above screen. NAPA PROLink will be available in all countries at some point. Select the Create a Shop Account button; enter your shop information and select the Add Account button. Select the Add this store to PROLink button to add the store. Copyright 2012 by R. O. 6 Alliance Parts Ordering Connections have been added. Two new Alliance parts ordering connections have been added to Smart ecat and Smart eorder, Bumper to Bumper and Auto Value. You are able to use Bumper to Bumper or Auto Value not both. Once you ve selected this option in General Options in the Configuration module, the selected catalog icon will appear in Smart ecat. 10 New Tire Sales Reports Five new Tire Sales Reports have been added to the Inventory reports menu. The selections are Tire Sales Summary, Detail, by Size, by Brand or by Supplier. The selected options for the report are by Date range and whether you want to view All Tires Sold or just Inventory Tires Sold Only. Select Ok to print. Copyright 2012 by R. O. 13 Below is the initial web page upon entering the multi shop customer lookup. Entering search criteria and clicking the Search button displays the matching customers with repair order history. Select the Estimates check box before clicking the Search button to view estimates rather than repair order history. Only customers with saved estimates will be displayed. Copyright 2012 by R. O. 14 Select one or more customers. To select a single row simply click on the row, but to select multiple rows it is necessary to click the check box in front of each desired row. 17 Select the Parts History tab to view history by parts used. From any tab, you are able to select the Reset search button or the Search menu to return to the search screen. Select Cancel to exit. Also select the Print button to print what you are viewing on the screen. When the Central Service Lookup was selected when starting a new repair order or estimate, you will see a Post Customer and a Post Customer & Vehicle button. To add this customer to your database, select the Post Customer button. To add both the customer and the vehicle to your database, select the Post Customer & Vehicle button. Added the ability to enter membership information and search by membership number. We ve added the ability to enter customer s membership information. This feature is turned on in the Configuration module. Select Configuration>Customer>Edit Phone/ Fields. Select the Use Member ID option to display the Membership fields. You are able to change the field names if desired. Once this option is selected, you are able to enter the customer s membership information. From the edit customer window, select the Membership tab. 18 The membership information also displays on the repair order or estimate in the Customer section. ENHANCEMENTS Enhanced History The history screens have been enhanced to show labor and parts history with the ability to search by keyword. 20 Reprint History Batch Printing The Reprint History batch printing was added to the main R.O. Writer module, as a new option off the History tool bar button. A selection criteria screen displays with an option for a date range as well as choosing repair orders, estimates or both. Added Vehicle Year, Make and Model to Search Screens The ability to search for vehicles by year, make, and/or model has been added. This option is available in all search functions. 23 Smart ecat enhanced Menus Smart ecat drop down menus for category and job lists are now larger.. Smart ecat and Smart eorder displays the Vehicle VIN Code. When Smart ecat, Smart ejob, or Smart eorder is accessed from a repair order or an estimate, the VIN code will be displayed and the 8th character will be highlighted which commonly is the engine code. 27 New Fleet Option to search history An option has been added to the Fleet Configuration in the Configuration module to either include or exclude Fleets when searching for customers. 29 Accounts Payable cash payout tab is added. The ability to post accounts payable invoices right from the reconcile screen has been added. A Drawer Countdown tab has been added. 31 The ability to print a deposit slip has been added to the Summary tab. MISCELLANEOUS FIXES R. O. Writer Point of Sale Updated multiple repair order forms to print close date from history rather than the current date. Now e mailing the Repair Order form type Plain Paper Landscape in landscape format instead of portrait. Some customers have requested to add a work order form to print in landscape format. Version 1.28 will require an update to Crystal Reports which should improve printing in R. O. Writer. Multiple changes have been made to correct issues identified in printing to a shared printer, printing a blank page on a repair order or estimate, and printing a repair order with an Express checklist. 32 Changes have been made to mark labor and sublet as non taxable when the tax rate is set to 0% in the Configuration module under menu options Configuration>Repair Order>Taxes and Fees. Some customers have reported part prices being extended to 4 decimal places causing calculation issues. We now have part prices round to 2 decimal places. The Employee, technician, and service writer name fields have been expanded to 70 characters. Declining labor and then answering yes to decline parts would not decline parts posted from WorldPac, NAPA, Nexpart, or ACDelco. We made changes so those parts will be marked as declined. The numeric entry controls were changed so when selecting the decimal point, the next number would begin in the tenths position rather than the hundredths position. Posting stock part with 0 on hand from Smart ecat now follows the Configuration setting in R. O. Options>Parts>Make Status Adjustments for negative on hand = Always to prompt instead of switching to non stock. Added back the ability to select a part from the Parts search list using the Enter key. Epicor Service Intervals has been established to allow printing outside of a repair order or estimate. The label for Zip/Postal codes is now consistent on the RO form as on the Supplier form. Enhanced the handling of zip/postal code fields when using postal code or both settings in Configuration>International Options. Adding a smart job to an Express super job now honors job order number sequence. You now have the ability to from a repair order, estimate or history where the customers business name has a comma and does not match the first or last name. Per our customers requests we have added "Fleet #" to several invoice forms. Smart ecat/smart eorder Changed how the WHI MCL download and queries work. When supplier's MCL download options are set to allow automatic MCL downloads, the query uses the Manufacturer Code. When the supplier's MCL download options are set to not download, the query uses the Line Code. Updated Smart ecat to allow posting labor from Smart ecat when the technician does not have a cost set. A customer has reported when posting parts from Smart ecat, with the line code as only 2 characters long, the part will post over with a space in the line code. This can cause issues with the Part Symbols, where a part that is in stock will not display the Part Symbol correctly. Now, when posting parts from Smart ecat trailing spaces in Line Code are trimmed. In some cases, when posting parts in local inventory from Smart ecat, the supplier wasn't posted and the to order box was checked. Changes have been made to ensure inventory information is correctly posted and the to order box is not checked. Changes have been made when posting labor from Smart ecat or Smart ejobs that Smart Pricing is enabled for the proper conditions where time multiplied by rate equals charge. Smart Jobs that contain Other Parts are again showing those parts on the Posted Parts and Labor screen. Some customers have reported some part prices do not appear when the part has alternates when using IAP. Changes have been made to inform the user when there are AutoZone outages. Scheduler Some customers have reported concerns with appointments using the arrow keys to change dates. Now when the new date is selected by moving the cursor with the arrow keys the appointment color, technician and other information will be displayed. Some customers have reported exiting to desktop when rescheduling appointments using drag and drop. We have enhanced drag and drop in scheduler to help prevent the exiting. Speed performance when opening Scheduler in week view has been improved. Launching scheduler from a repair order now displays in a one day view. Copyright 2012 by R. O. 33 Reporting Changed the Summary report to properly calculate breakout labor totals and the profit margin for the subtotal line. Changed Technician Parts Sales and Tax Detail Report to sort by date order. Changed the Inventory List report to group by department and sort numerically then alphanumeric when there are alpha characters in the part number. Changed the Labor Detail Pay Date Report to print the technician name on every page. Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Some customers had experienced exiting to the desktop from the Accounts Payable module when posting to inventory or a cost account. We added an updated numeric entry controls to prevent random exiting. Changes were made in the Accounts Receivable statements to print in date order, and to accommodate longer description and purchase order fields. The AP Deleted Invoice report now displays the delete date. Editing a supplier in the accounts payable module no longer exits due to postal code (International Options). Inventory Replaced the numeric entry controls to the Inventory module to prevent exiting to the desktop. Changes were made to the Browse Inventory function to correctly display totals when creating custom reports. New sorting for the Inventory List report. Now sorts numerically then alphanumeric when there are alpha characters in the part number. Also groups by department instead of supplier. Marketing and Followup Phone Follow up list has been updated to now display each vehicle that falls under the search criteria the user provides. Marketing Reports such as the Vehicle Model report no longer fails when there are more than 33,000 vehicles in the database.
