2 CONVENTION & EXPO 2017 ABOUT THE CONVENTION The Utah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (UHCC) Annual Convention began in 2006 as a small conference for our members; today our Convention is considered Utah s premier Hispanic business event. The Convention content has broadened to include a trade expo, business educational workshops, a women s leadership breakfast, student academy, trainings and a Spanish motivational conference, all of which provide a multitude of tools that expand out members business possibilities THEME: STRENGTHENING OUR BUSINESS VOICE TO EXPAND THE ECONOMIC LANDSCAPE With the rapid growth of diverse communities that thrive amongst the landscape of Utah, it is natural and necessary for businesses to expand their economic horizons as well. Out of the nearly 3.3 million Hispanic/Latino-owned businesses in the nation, approximately 11,000 consider Utah their home. Aiming to include all voices into the business conversation give us the opportunity to create a better business environment to promote and strengthen the economy for those who reside in Utah. Inclusivity of others who represent an important part of the economic power in Utah is necessary, and the cultures that are at our disposal to learn from is likewise crucial for us to develop and compete. We are developing/turning into a system that where all American business are one in the sense of sharing the same economic goals. What we produce will benefit our communities. It is within the best interest of our community to empower, educate, welcome and do business with each other and mark off our mutual goal, to expand our economic landscape and further the values of the determined beehive state. CONVENTION OBJECTIVES Last year an assembly of more than 1000 business owners, executives, corporate representatives, scholars, academics, consultants, and community leaders took advantage of the essential business and professional insight provided during the UHCC Convention CONVENTION SPONSORS Our Convention objectives are simple: to promote and encourage trade opportunities, to inspire success, to educate, to raise awareness of our diverse business community and, by doing so, to strengthen ties between business communities locally and regionally. The event brings together hundreds of Utah s most successful individuals in business.
