2 Definition Introduction These are the Canon Group company Affiliate Guidelines. The aim of these guidelines are to ensure the correct and consistent application of the Canon Brand across marketing communication materials. Group companies Group companies refer to Canon affiliates of which Canon Inc. or Canon Europe directly or indirectly holds a controlling share of stocks or equity, or any other company designated by the mark administration Committee (Canon Inc.) or the Brand Management Committee (Canon Europe). 2

3 General rules and information A Canon Company description The company logo must be presented clearly with A Canon Company description underneath. The Canon Logo The illustration shows a protected area around the logo, which should always be kept free of any graphic elements or messages. A minimum of 10% of x should always be maintained when using the Canon logo. 6 Website Examples Canon logo sizing The minimum size for displaying the Canon logo online is 110 pixels wide and must not be distorted. Canon logo exclusion zone The Canon logo exclusion zone is equal to 10% of the total width of the logo on all sides. 6

7 Signage As the type of building will differ from location to location, the application of the logos will need to be flexible. The key points to remember are: The affiliate logo should not appear without the Canon logo Please follow the general rules at the beginning of these guidelines as to the basic principle for the relationship of the group company logo and the Canon logo Do not use on a curved surface Due to environmental and aesthetic considerations, please refrain from making the logo too large (when using neon signs, pay special attention to the amount of light emitted) Note: Please ensure you have the relevant permission from the building owner before making any changes to a building exterior. 7
