3 STEP 1 About The House RMHCNA helps keep families together during one of life s most stressful times: the illness of a child. Since opening our doors in 1985, the House has provided affordable, temporary housing, comfort and compassion to almost 19,000 families with seriously ill children traveling to Edmonton for treatment. We provide an environment of support through our caring staff, volunteers and programming as well as the friendships found in other families who are going through similar circumstances. With annual operation costs of approximately $3.5 million, your support today will ensure we are able to serve the families that stay with us each year. At RMHCNA, we understand the stress families are under when dealing with a sick child, so we absorb as many costs as possible to provide families with the services they need. The operating cost for a family to stay at RMCHNA is $250 a night. Our families are asked to make a $12 donation per night of their stay, yet if they are experiencing financial hardship this fee can be waived. No family is ever turned away for financial reasons Events CHARITY GOLF CLASSIC: GRANDE PRAIRIE June 2, 2016 Bear Creek Golf Club, Grande Prairie The 4 th annual Grande Prairie Charity Golf Classic will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at the Bear Creek Golf Club. Last year s event sold out and raised $68,000 for RMHCNA. The day begins with breakfast, 18 holes of best ball, on course food and drinks followed by dinner, auctions and raffles. HOEDOWN FOR THE HOUSE August 20, 2016 Wembley Recreation Center This annual family event has sold out the past three years and we expect to sell out again. The Hoedown will feature live music, an amazing catered dinner by On Fire BBQ, the ultimate in kid s zones, auctions and games. This event is all about family, friends and fun. Help us continue to raise funds and awareness about RMHCNA. SHOOT FOR THE HOUSE September 10, 2016 Wapiti Shooters Club Last year s event saw over 325 participants and raised over $220,000 for RMHCNA. This year s event will feature 96 targets, breakfast, dinner and a variety of live and silent auction items to bid on. Help us continue to raise the bar by having 400 registered shooters and meet our goal of $250,000 for the House.
