2 About us Coeliac South Australia & Northern Territory (Coeliac SA & NT) is a not-for-profit organisation. An affiliate of Coeliac Australia, we are a health support service that provides information and support to those diagnosed with coeliac disease, dermatitis herpetiformis and those who have been medically advised to maintain a gluten free diet. Coeliac SA & NT has been the peak body for people with coeliac disease in South Australia and the Northern Territory since 1976 providing a single, credible source of information We are the public voice for those affected by coeliac disease we provide educational services regarding lifestyle and interventional management strategies, provide information on gluten free products, information for individuals and establishments catering for the gluten free diet and also information for health professionals who have an interest in the field. Coeliac SA & NT also undertakes advocacy work, collaborates with medical and technical professionals, gluten free manufacturers and supports industry research. Objectives Coeliac SA & NT aims to support those living with coeliac disease and related conditions by providing up to date information, and educating the broader community. The main objectives of Coeliac SA & NT are: To provide accurate information on coeliac disease and gluten free related topics. To promote individual resourcefulness and resilience To raise awareness amongst health practitioners and promote best practice with regard to diagnosis and ongoing management To promote the role of Coeliac SA & NT in the community. To liaise with the food manufacturing and food service industry on coeliac disease and the gluten free diet. What we do Our core business is to support those with coeliac disease and related conditions by providing membership services, information and understanding. Coeliac SA & NT also supports members by providing new member starter kits, subscriptions to The Australian Coeliac Magazine, Gluten Matters health seminars and expos, supermarket tours, education workshops, member events, telephone; and drop in support services, industry advocacy, monthly e-newsletters, outreach programmes and pop up food truck services. 5 Gluten Matters E Newsletter Advertising This newsletter is sent monthly to all members of Coeliac SA & NT and other interested parties who have provided a current address. Please provide us with: Ad Type 1 - No more than 100 descriptive words, details about your product or service. (Please include a heading/ title, this is included in the 100 words limit) - A picture/photo/logo which can be used to link to your website (a jpeg file which is 450 pixels wide x and no more than 300 pixels deep. If the file is larger, it will be resized. or Ad Type 2 - A banner-style advertisement supplied as a jpeg (600 pixels wide x no larger than 100 pixels deep). 6 E-Newsletter Specifications Coeliac SA & NT uses Adobe In-Design to edit Gluten Matters. Please ensure that your advert conforms to the following: Gluten Matters is a full colour publication. All ads and images should be supplied in either Publisher, PDF or a JPG file at a minimum of 300dpi (dots per inch). Alternatively, text copy for ads can be sent as a Microsoft Word Document (.doc) All files should be sent via or supplied on CD. If artwork is not the correct size then the editor will scale this to fit within the publication specifications. Coeliac SA & NT can design your E- advertisement for a small additional fee (POA). Coeliac SA &NT reserves the right to evaluate all statements used in advertisements and reserves the right to reject any advertising that does not relate to living on a gluten free diet. Refer to policy page for more details. 7 GREAT START KITS (New Member Kit) Coeliac SA & NT is currently averaging 20 new members each month. The new member kit contains: handbook, recipe books, ingredient list and other resources to assist the newly diagnosed. It is a great opportunity to promote your business and product lines. 1A. Gluten Free Product Samples Have your GF products sent directly to newly diagnosed members with coeliac disease. Brochures are to be delivered or posted to Coeliac SA & NT s office for inclusion. Only gluten free products to be advertised. Be one of the first GF products newly diagnosed members with coeliac disease sample. For a minimal fee and product donation, your GF product will be posted with the new member kit. * Coeliac SA & NT will manage the packing and distribution of all brochures and samples in the Great Start Kits. Product samples are to be delivered to Coeliac SA & NT s office. Due to storage limitations we prefer product to be delivered in maximum of three month supplies. Samples to be no more than 150g each in weight. Product must have a long shelf life and be easily able to be posted. 1B. Attracting some patrons it provides an excellent opportunity for promotion, product launches and special deals. 9 Coeliac SA & NT Advertising Agreement Coeliac SA & NT is a not-for-profit organisation providing support to people who are medically required to adhere to a gluten free diet, usually to treat coeliac disease or dermatitis herpetiformis. Advertising is available in the E-Newsletter or Great Start Kit, subject to meeting appropriate conditions. The purpose of this document is to clarify the requirements of advertising with Coeliac SA & NT. Terms and Conditions General All advertisers must complete and sign the agreement at the end of this document prior to advertising being approved. Advertising will not proceed if this signed agreement is not received. COELIAC SA & NT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO EVALUATE ALL STATEMENTS IN ADVERTISEMENTS AND RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY ADVERTSING THAT DOES NOT CONFORM TO THE FOLLOWING: 1. Advertising should be relevant to members of Coeliac SA & NT. We reserve the right not to publish material inconsistent with our policies and those of Coeliac Australia Inc. 2. Advertisers wishing to advertise information not relevant to a gluten free lifestyle can only do so at the discretion of the Coeliac SA & NT Board of Management. 3. Registered trademarks of Coeliac Australia such as the Coeliac Australia Logo, Endorsement Logo (Crossed Grain) and the Accreditation Logo (GF symbol) can only be used in advertisements by companies that have a current licence agreement with Coeliac Australia. 4. The nature and content of the advertising or sponsorship should contribute to the professional image of Coeliac SA & NT. 5. Acceptance and inclusion of an advertisement or sponsor s symbol in the Coeliac SA & NT publications does not imply membership, accreditation, partnership or endorsement of the product or sponsor. 6. Advertising is to be clearly distinguishable from the publication text. Where the advertiser submits text to accompany the advertisement, it will clearly be labelled as advertorial and the space used will be charged at published advertising rates. 7. Positioning of advertisements in the Coeliac SA & NT publications will be at the discretion of the editor. 8. Advertisements will not be accepted where they are likely to cause offence, are untruthful, are misleading or deceptive in any way or discriminatory. 9. In any edition of the Coeliac SA & NT publications, a limited space will be used for advertising and sponsorship. Should the allocated advertising space be full prior to the deadline date and an advertiser submits an advertisement with payment, they shall be notified and offered a space in the following issue. 10. Refer to individual pages for advertising fees. 11. Advertisements will be confirmed and invoiced once a booking form is received. Account terms are PRE-PAID. No new bookings will be accepted where monies are outstanding beyond our normal terms. 12. Acceptance of advertising in the form of inserts, will be dependant on the number of our own Coeliac SA & NT inserts already required in that edition and the weight of the total mail out. 13. Advertisements will only be accepted from registered businesses 14. Advertisers are prohibited from using the Coeliac SA & NT or Coeliac Australia registered name, logo or any suggestion of membership, affiliation or accreditation for their own marketing, advertising or promotional purposes Terms and Conditions Food Service Providers and Manufacturers (in addition to above) 1. 10 Coeliac SA & NT Advertising Agreement * Must not include any ingredients derived from wheat, rye, barley or oats and their derivatives. With the exception of those ingredients that are nil detectable upon testing. * Disclaimers must not accompany a gluten free claim. 3. The website listing of a Food Service Provider will be withdrawn if: * There is a change in management or ownership as the relationship is with the contact person / manager nominated on the application form * The business no longer provides gluten free menu options * The information provided on the application is incorrect * Complaints received are not resolved in a manner deemed satisfactory by Coeliac SA & NT or Coeliac Australia Please note that the Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) code states that, Save where otherwise expressly prescribed by this Code, the label on or attached to a package containing or any advertisement for food shall not contain the name of or a reference to any disease or physiological condition. This means that the word coeliac cannot be used in your advertisement (unless you are licensed to use Coeliac Australia s Endorsement or Gluten Free Accreditation Logo and the accompanying text Endorsed / Accredited by Coeliac Australia ). No correspondence will be entered into. Advertisements are accepted in good faith and Coeliac SA & NT and Coeliac Australia cannot be held responsible for any claims made by advertisers.
