3 FUNDING FAIR WHERE INVESTMENT CAN GROW The funding fair hosted at the African Agricultural Indaba is a unique feature of the Indaba. Applicants to the funding fair have the opportunity to source seed funding, capital expansion finance as well as a range of different product and business offerings from a variety of different Indaba partners and agricultural specialists at the fair. Applicants are required to submit projects and proposals for assessment and review before final applica on to the funding fair will be approved. 5 DEVELOPMENT SPONSORS ANONYMOUS SOAPBOX ACCOUNTABILITY & RESPONSIBILITY At the African Agricultural Indaba will be the loca on of an anonymous pla orm which will offer anyone a ending the Indaba the opportunity to comment on and put up for discussion a topic or topics that he or she may be uncomfortable discussing or raising in alterna ve forums. The soapbox offers visitors a maximum of twenty minutes to voice record a grievance or concern within the agricultural sector anonymously. The recordings will be assessed by the African Agricultural Indaba and, if deemed valid, will be taken further within the available Indaba forums for con nued further resolu on. Successful topics will find their way into the Indaba electronic magazine and onto the various media pla orms available to the Indaba for further comment and discussion by interested members of the public and the sector. ROUND TABLE DISCUSSIONS The roundtable discussions are an opportunity for par cipants to get together in an informal se ng to examine issues within the primary and secondary agricultural industry. At each round table, a facilitator will be present who will be required to move the table towards consensus on the agenda, guide the discussion and summarise and conclude the discussion. Par cipants at the round tables are pre-selected according to their relevance and exper se to the specific topic of that table and are given equal right to par cipate in the discussion.
