34 Recall and Behaviour Change 22% 48% Percent of residents living in apartments and condos that recall the campaign. Percent of residents who saw or heard the campaign that reported being more likely to use the food scraps bin. 11

35 The number of multi-family residents reporting that they use their building s green bin + 4% increased year-over-year from 73% to 77%. 12

36 Plans for 2018 Regional Campaign OBJECTIVES Increase organics being diverted. Minimize odours at the source, and at composting facilities. Reduce contamination. OPPORTUNITIES Just 56% of respondents put food-soiled paper in the green bin. 49% of respondents who store food scraps in a plastic bag dispose of that bag in the green bin along with their organics. The 2018 campaign will address food-soiled paper and plastic bag contamination. 13
