1 SPONSORSHIP FOLDER FOR CAROLS 2017 at Metella Road Public School Saturday 9th December 2017

2 About Carols Carols is a community Christmas celebration. For ten years Toongabbie Baptist Church has proudly hosted Carols which has grown from a small gathering on the church lawn, to a community event which connected with well over 1000 people at each previous event. Each year thousands of invitations are hand delivered to the surrounding community, and each year families from a variety of ethnic backgrounds gather in the school with picnic rugs and deck chairs. The gathering starts with FREE family entertainment. We provide a jumping castle and face painting free of cost so that parents and children can completely enjoy the afternoon as they wait the commencement of the program. In the past Clowns added to the atmosphere with balloon creations and other games for the children. The main celebration is the night of Christmas Carols. Past programs have included dramas, soloists, duets and other group items from playgroups and the Metella Road Public School choir. Community Carols are led and supported by a choir group of vocalists together with a large band. The live music is of excellent quality. The finale of the night is a spectacular fireworks display. Carols continues to improve each year and attendance grows as the word spreads.

3 A Gift to the Community Christmas is a time of hope and giving. We seek to communicate the message of Christmas in a variety of forms. The Carols production draws people from all walks of life and encourages them with a celebration of Christmas. For them and their families, Christmas is a message of hope and a time of joy. As a local church in the district, Toongabbie Baptist Church is committed to our community and each year over 100 volunteers give their time and effort freely to serve and encourage others. Volunteers serve in all areas from the band and choir to the food stalls and BBQ. Each is an integral part of making this time a huge success. However, whilst all this labour is donated, the cost of equipment hire for the event is substantial and would not be possible without the financial backing of generous sponsors. Sponsorship enables the core aspects of staging, sound and lighting hire, advertising and of course the fireworks display. Event stalls help cover the costs of many of the ancillary aspects from generators, port-a-loos and jumping castles. The church underwrites all the costs of the event and provide public liability insurance for the event with full work health and safety provisions to ensure that the event is a positive experience for all who attend. But without the help of sponsors, we could not put on such a large production. We would therefore like to request your support to help make this event possible.
