1 Signage is a means by which information and a sense of 'customer care' is offered to the visitor. It provides a medium by which the parks can express their image and sense of value to encourage visitors to stop and explore. st On 1 July 2011 the Falkirk Community Trust assumed responsibility for the management and operation of a range of community facing sport, recreation, arts, heritage and library services. The current quality of signage and information provision across their parks account has been noted as very poor. Having reviewed their key objectives and identified a series of priority projects, a Signage Inventory and Appraisal and Signage Strategy project was commissioned. The four sites reviewed are collectively referred to as The Falkirk Parks, and are as follows: Callendar Park, Falkirk Muiravonside Country Park, Loan Kinneil Estate, Bo'ness Grangemouth Golf Course, Polmonthill Signage provision in the Falkirk Parks will aim to create an easily legible system to guide the visitor from the park arrival points to their chosen facilities. Proposals look to create an increased crossover of visitors between the parks wherever possible, and encourage wider area exploration. Introduction
