GENERAL INFORMATION ICENI is an emulsifiable concentrate formulation containing 250 g/l (25.5 % w/w) trinexapac-ethyl. It is a growth regulator for crop height reduction, which can lead to lodging control and yield protection in all varieties of winter and spring wheat, winter and spring barley, winter and spring oats, rye, triticale and durum wheat.

4 ICENI is absorbed by the leaves and stems of cereals and ryegrass. It has no root or soil activity. ICENI is absorbed quickly into the plant tissue and rapidly translocated to the growing parts where the elongation of the stem internodes is inhibited thereby reducing the straw height. This reduction in straw height reduces the risk of lodging in cereals and ryegrass. ICENI treatment may lead to ears remaining erect through to harvest. CROPS Winter Wheat flag leaf fully emerged stage (GS30 39). Spring Wheat second node (GS30 32). Winter Barley second node (GS30 32). OR Apply ICENI at up to 0.6 l/ha between the flag leaf just visible stage and the flag leaf fully emerged stage (GS37 39). Spring Barley Apply ICENI at up to 0.5 l/ha between the leaf sheath erect stage and the second node (GS30 32). Winter and Spring Oats first node (GS30 31). Rye, Triticale and Durum Wheat second node (GS30 32). OTHER SPECIFIC RESTRICTIONS This product must not be used on grass seed crops that will be grazed by livestock of cut for fodder. Treated grassland must not be grazed or cut for fodder. MIXING AND SPRAYING Spray Volume Apply ICENI in a minimum of 200 litres water per hectare. Increased water volume may assist spray penetration in larger or denser crop canopies.

5 Spray Nozzles A MEDIUM (BCPC) spray quality is preferred for application of ICENI. A spray pressure of 2-3 bar is recommended. Mixing and Spraying Make sure the sprayer is set to give an even application at the correct volume. Fill the spray tank with half the required volume of clean water and start agitation. Add the required amount of ICENI and continue agitation whilst adding the rest of the water. Agitate the mixture thoroughly before use and continue agitation during spraying. Take particular care to avoid overlapping of spray swaths. Thoroughly wash all spray and measuring equipment with water and a wetting agent immediately after use.
