FRIDAY 6 NOVEMBER 2009 Conference overview The IPC9 conference brings together practitioners, the public and relevant instituions to share on the inspirational stories from grass roots people coming from all continents who have used and related approaches to transform their lives towards sustainable living. The conference is an opportunity to build alliances and to begin to shape strategies that can be used to mainstream functional land design as a tool for sustainable development. Conference objectives 1. To bring together practitioners, farmers, learners, extensionists, members, the public and government and civil society agencies to network and share knowledge and strategies 2. To provide a platform where ecologically sustainable initiatives, projects, programmes, best practices are show cased and positioned for scaling up through linkages 3.
