2 Implementation Status and Key Decisions This ISR reflects the status of implementation of the CMSCR project (P104687), as of April 30, The report has been prepared based on the supervision mission held on April 3 to 7, Component 1: Improving productivity in participating cattle ranching farms in Project areas through SPS. The project team has made adjustments to the technical assistance strategy, which is being introduced during the first semester of Baselines and first verification of land use changes for calls 1 and 2 have been finalized and associated payments to ranchers have been disbursed, third payments will be effective before Dec The rate of expansion of areas under both intensive and non-intensive silvopastoral systems is accelerating, land conversion rates are very promising on ranchers joining the third call for selection of beneficiaries carried out by the project. More than one-half a million trees are being distributed to ranchers during the first semester of Component 2: Increasing connectivity and reducing land degradation through differentiated PES schemes: Payments under PSA1 have been accelerating. In the case of PSA2, the changes to the scheme piloted during the second semester of 2016 are having a very positive response by the beneficiary ranchers. About 55 demonstration farms would be fully established by September of Under Component 3: Strengthening sub-sector institutions, dissemination and monitoring & evaluation: Progress is being made on data collection for key indicators and agreed plans for strengthening the PIU have been put in place by FEDEGAN.
