3 CONCERNS The agriculture sector is the least preferred profession in the minds of youth today due to the lack of support and opportunities extended to them, which may have serious implications in context to country's food security. In the background of glamorous and attractive white collared jobs, youth regard agriculture as a menial profession. Even the "Gen next" of the agriculturists are not keen enough to take up the profession and continue the legacy.

4 Involvement of Youth should be encouraged With the tremendous potential in the agrarian sector, the opportunities in this sector needs to be tapped. The youth are constantly on a look out for new avenues. Keeping this in mind, the gap needs to be bridged

Although they are an indispensible part of the agrarian system, there exists a complex and symbiotic relationship between the farmers and the other links in the supply-chains and allied industries.
