WHO ARE YOUR TEAM? - TŌ KAPA Property Limited (NTP) is a standalone subsidiary of Holdings Group Limited, the business and investment arm of Te Rūnanga o, the representative body of the South Island iwi,. With a market value in excess of $450 million, NTP is a professionally managed business with a proud commercial history. Established in 1994, NTP is one of the largest property developers in Te Waipounamu (the South Island of New Zealand) with a range of successful residential and commercial developments. As a long-term property investor and developer, NTP has a solid reputation borne from the smart use of resources, appropriate commercial activities and forward-thinking initiatives. As a permanent player with a significant footprint in the South Island we are mindful that our investment and development activities support the communities in which they are located. To this end we work alongside and partner with local communities to ensure our projects are sustainable. Throughout the South Island there are 18 local rūnanga (local councils). An elected representative from each rūnanga makes up Te Rūnanga o the tribal council that oversees the tribe's activities. Through this tribal council structure Te Rūnanga o is accountable to the tribal members. The Farm Coordinator position reports to the Group and assists the in undertaking and completing all responsibilities of the role. The Group will also have 1 floating position. Page 2 of 5

4 WHAT IS THE PRIMARY FOCUS OF THIS ROLE? - TE AROTAHI MATUA The primary focus of this role is calf rearing - feeding all heifer replacement calves and bobby calves and adhering to prescribed feeding levels and animal health as set out in calf rearing protocol. Other calf related tasks as required. Key Accountabilities - Ngā Kawenga Takohanga Goal To rear healthy calves to weaning weights with a high standard of hygiene followed at all times. Management Calf sheds must have a clean bed of shavings or sawdust that is added to as needed. Each pen must be sprayed with an anti-viral spray like Vircon before use and then on a regular basis as required. All calf navels to be sprayed with iodine IMMEDIATELY upon arrival at calf shed and if possible in paddock. Bull calves and bobbies will be kept separate from heifer calf replacements. Heifer calves must have litres of first day colostrum within 12 hours of birth, tube feed if necessary. Calves must have fresh water available at all times. Calves to have access to calf meal from day one. This meal must be fresh for the first week, left over meal can be given to older calves. Calves to be fed litres TWICE A DAY for the first days, plus adlib starter meal. Calves to be fed 5 6 litres ONCE A DAY plus adlib meal pellets until eating 1kg pellets/calf/day. Calves to be placed onto pasture as soon as possible after 4 weeks old. Calves to continue on ONCE A DAY system until at weaning weights. 90kg for Friesian calves, 80kg for Crossbred calves and 75 kg for Jersey calves. Then milk to be gradually reduced over one week while maintaining meal pellets at 1kg/calf/day. Once calves are weaned continue with meal pellets for 3 weeks / 21 days. Once weaned calves on pasture must be moved onto fresh grass every 2 3 days. ENSURE CALVES HAVE ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER, CHECK WATER TROUGHS DAILY. Sick calves will be separated and treated until recovered in a separate pen. Sick calves to be FED AND TREATED LAST and all equipment must be cleaned with hot water and detergent. A high standard of hygiene to be followed. All calf feeding equipment must be cleaned in hot water and detergent once a week. When feeding whole milk equipment must be rinsed in cold water daily. Animal health program to be followed. Responsibility Primarily Calf Rearer s responsibility. It is everybody s responsibility to ensure calves are put in shed and sprayed with iodine and to help with feeding when needed. Page 4 of 5

Farm Coordinator Calf Rearer Date This position description serves to provide an overview of the primary responsibilities inherent in this role. It also provides a summary of how this position collaborates with other roles within the Te Rūnanga Group. It is acknowledged that in order to remain current, regular amendments will be required. This is to be co-ordinated in association with the relevant s and the Group General People and Performance. This document will be supported by the development of a performance agreement which will be drafted by the incumbent in association with their to provide clear goals and objectives, against which individual performance will be managed.
