Akkas) Presented at first call of TP-5 5 (apr.15, 2003) Aimed at helping SMEs of the "Food Quality & Safety" sector find their way into FP6 Integrated Projects and Networks of Excellence,, where 15% of EC contribution to research projects is earmarked for SMEs.

16 CONCLUSION TURKEY-FRANCE partners in "Food Quality & Safety" The 6 th framework programme,, and more especially its TP5 "Food Quality and Safety" will be a major tool to strengthen the scientific and technological relationships between our two countries. So far, several projects are in progress and some will be successful, but we have to work hard for the future, because much more could be done to improve the volume of FR-TR collaboration and the rate of success. This is the challenging, but very exciting situation, that we have to face, here and today.
