This method is bsed on indictors representing the gro-ecologicl, socio-territoril nd economic dimensions of the frming system s sustinbility. In the context of the Lebnese smll ruminnt pstorl or gro-pstorl systems, 3 indictors hve been omitted (stocking density, N blnce, finncil utonomy) nd 9 hve been dpted by modifiction of the scores (1 for diversity, 2 for spce orgnistion, 3 for frming prctices, 1 for qulity of products, 1 for employment nd services, nd economicl efficiency). For zero-grzing diry cows in Mitidj, where conditions re closer to those observed in systems for which IDEA hs been designed, modifictions concern 8 indictors. Difficulties to compute indictors rose from: i) unvilbility or uncertinty of informtion such s those relted to fertilistion, pesticide use, or economicl dt, ii) different scles for locl references such s lnd surfce, or iii) lnd use in pstorl systems. This presenttion shows the pproch used for dpting the method to these contexts, while keeping its bility to fit the criteri of ssessment methods, nmely sensibility, specificity, robustness. A typology of systems ccording to their sustinbility is presented.
