2 Let our pros take care of marketing your production. ProPricing is a new contract that gets Cargill s grain marketing experts working for you. It s designed to help you manage risk by leveraging the insight of our global network. Unlike other contracts where you make all the decisions, ProPricing lets you put the marketing reins in the hands of experts. Propricing has been available to corn, soybean and wheat growers in the United States and Ontario for a number of years; now, in its second year across Western Canada, ProPricing is available to farmers on their 2016 hard red spring and Canadian prairie spring wheat crops. ProPricing is still a relatively new program in Canada, and that s why we re focusing on wheat. There are consistent programs for physical grain. We re leading with a commodity that has the highest likelihood of success. Phil Oswald Merchandising Manager, Wheat, for Cargill

4 Local and global experts eliminate the guesswork. In Western Canada, the ProPricing program is guided by Tyler Russell, and its trading is led by Phil Oswald. Phil works alongside local risk management and merchandising experts to manage contracted bushels, and his team talks daily with trading offices around the world, including Minneapolis, Geneva, Miami and Singapore, among others, to evaluate global trends. MEET PHIL OSWALD Phil has 30-plus years of experience in the grain business and is now Merchandising Manager, Wheat, for Cargill. Phil will be the wheat MarketPro and will lead the Canadian wheat merchandising team as they develop and execute trading strategy for Cargill s wheat ProPricing accounts. He has worked as spring wheat merchant on the Minneapolis Grain Exchange and has also spent time as an oilseeds merchant in Eastern Canada. MEET TYLER RUSSELL Tyler grew up on a farm in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan and holds a B.Sc. in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan. He began working for Cargill over ten years ago in Wynyard, Saskatchewan, where he worked with farmers one-on-one to help them with their crop input and grain needs. Tyler has spent time in grain merchandising and sales management. In his current role as National Grain Marketing Solutions Manager, Tyler will oversee the ProPricing product line in addition to managing Cargill s suite of producer risk management contracts. He also leads Cargill s grain marketing consulting services in Canada, which includes directing a team of 40 Grain Marketing Advisors and Managers who are dedicated to helping farmers make better grain marketing decisions.

5 Here s where Cargill s global network shines. Cargill has more boots on the ground in more countries than any other grain company. We re talking with farmers who want to sell grain and millers who want to buy grain all over the world. It gives us a wide perspective that helps form our opinion on anticipated market movements and events an opinion we call our Cargill bias. This bias guides the ProPricing team. 6 ProPricing fits a wide variety of farmers. This program is the perfect complement to a diversified grain marketing plan. It gives you all the perks that come with letting an expert sell a portion of your grain like taking away some of the stress and sharing insight on how our pros evaluate the markets. IT S A SIMPLE PROGRAM. Many growers who sign up for the ProPricing program are attracted to its simplicity. By letting a Cargill expert make the marketing decisions on a portion of your grain, you can invest your time and energy in other areas of your farm business. IT HELPS DIVERSIFY PRICE RISK. ProPricing is also a great option for farmers who know how to manage production risks but may be uncomfortable managing price risk. Just like accountants who manage tax risk or lawyers who manage legal risk, ProPricing is for farmers who want to manage price risk. IT S FOCUSED ON LONG-TERM RESULTS. ProPricing is best suited to farmers who are prepared to contract their grain into the ProPricing program before seed is in the ground, and farmers who can comfortably hedge a portion of their production over a couple growing seasons.

Cargill offers a number of contracts to help farmers sell their grain, insulate their farm from risk and manage cash flow. ProPricing is another tool that you can use for just that.
