2 ESTRELA Estrela is an agile and large articulated pneumatic planter with a planting wheelset positioned between rows. Estrela can be used on all types of terrain, maintaining the space between rows as it is equipped with the CES (Stara Spacing Compensator) system. Equipped with a fertilizer and seed tank. Its daily yield, depending on the region, is as much as 86 ha/day* in a 9-hour shift. It has an exclusive transport wheelset, allowing the machine to be transported along narrow roads or bridges. *It can vary according to the kind of soil, humidity and working depth Fertilizer tank Available in 22, 26, 28, 30 and 32 row models with 45 cm of spacing. The Estrela is factory-equipped with Topper 5500, the most complete controller for precision agriculture and also features the market s top seed distribution system, Stara DPS. Turbines The Estrela planter is equipped with three turbines. One is responsible for feeding the seed ejectors and the two others for spreading the seeds. Seed tank Estrela have central tank of seeds, providing to the farmer great autonomy of work and agility when refueling. Its tank is equipped with internal mixer that eliminates the empty spaces, keeping the supply of rows constant. Wheelset Estrela have an exclusive wheelset for planting and for transportation, it is its great differential, because are models designed especially for each kind of work. Seed lines with expressive terrain copying capacity Tire models exclusive for transport CES SYSTEMS The major difference of the Estrela is its patented CES Stara Spacing Compensator system. It allows for planting on undulating terrain or terraces, maintaining the space between rows. This is possible thanks to the trapezoid chassis joint that maintains the space between rows, providing a far more accurate and even plant on any terrain. 3 CONTROL SYSTEM DPS SYSTEM The Estrela is equipped with DPS (Stara Precision Seed Distribution), a pneumatic system that ensures more accurate and effective planting. Vacuum chamber Elimination of double seeds Equipped with a five-shaft organizer that separates the seed and eliminates the possibility of double seed planting. The organizer does not require adjustments or settings, regardless of the seed size. DPS features a vacuum chamber that is smaller than conventional models, along with a highly effective seal. This ensures full use of the vacuum when sucking the seeds. This efficiency allows the seed to stick more firmly to the seed distribution disc, preventing failures through vibration, thereby ensuring greater accuracy and speed in planting. Complete optimization and use of the vacuum in dosing seeds requires less turbine power and consequently lower consumption of tractor fuel. The Stara Control System is series and consists of a set of electro-hydraulic valves and sensors controlled by Topper 5500, eliminating the need for chains and gear box. Dosing information is sent to an electric center (Universal POD), which allows the application rate to be adjusted using the sensors and proportion valves, resulting in changes to the seed/fertilizer application mode. Application modes Fixed rate Corn/ Sunflower / Cotton / Sorghum / bean Conventional discs In this application mode, the operator sets a fixed rate which allows speed to be increased without altering the dose. Variable rate When working in variable rate, Topper allows work with maps in Shape Files that are imported on a flash drive. During planting, dosing is altered automatically in just a few seconds, according to map recommendations. Once adjusted, no new operation is necessary, should the operator wish to change the seed rate or the dose of fertilizers. Control also permits the insertion of prescription maps when planting at variable rate, both for seeds and fertilizers, allowing for corrections in soil fertility and population control according to zones with production potential on the plantation. Bean Cotton Sorghum The DPS plants seeds of any shape and size, there being no need for adjustments. Only one disk per type of crop is needed. 1 Satellite Unique seed line Innovative sensor The DPS system has a seed driving tube developed in a special material, with a unique angle and surface. This fosters a gentle flow of seeds to the soil, reducing mechanical damage to the seeds as much as possible. The DPS is equipped with an innovative sensor that identifies the flow of seeds, ensuring precise reading, as it identifies the mass of seeds to be planted. The sensor is immune to residues and positioned at the end of the seed line, identifying possible failures at the exact time the seed meets the ground. 4 TECHNOLOGY Topper 5500 A complete controller for precision agriculture. It allows to work at variable rate, that is, it is designed for precision agriculture, able to vary the population of plants per meter. Using DGPS and autopilot in a single piece of equipment, planting with economy and yield is guaranteed.
