2 Compatibility of Aviator Xpro fungicide with various crop protection products for use in canola and chickpeas 1. Important notes: Always consult Bayer before mixing Aviator Xpro with other products. 2. When Aviator Xpro is applied in canola in mixture with herbicides that require an adjuvant (as per their registered label) significant adverse crop effects may result. These mixtures should be avoided. 3. No more than one herbicide may be mixed with Aviator Xpro at any one time (canola and chickpeas). 4. DO NOT mix Aviator Xpro with liquid fertilisers when applying to canola prior to the commencement of flowering. 5. (below) should be considered and accepted before making a decision to mix any product/s with Aviator Xpro. 4 Product/active and maximum lab test Pirimor 50-1 kg/ha Agral 0.18% 500 g/kg pirimicarb 600 g/l nonylphenol ethylene oxide condensate non-ionic organic surfactant Yes constant agitation required, product disperses poorly and settles out Yes 1 No adverse crop effects were observed. Note: field test conducted with Aviator Xpro at 800 ml/ha. Transform ml/ha Agral 0.18% SC 240 g/l sulfoxaflor 600 g/l nonylphenol ethylene oxide condensate non-ionic organic surfactant Dow Yes see comments Yes 1 No adverse crop effects were observed. Note: field test conducted with Aviator Xpro at 800 ml/ha. Comments: Most compatibilities were conducted with Aviator Xpro at 650 ml/ha, the exceptions being field tests with Pirimor 50 and Transform which were conducted with Aviator Xpro at 800 ml/ha (maximum registered rate). and any minor mixing issues are likely to be reduced at lower rates of Aviator Xpro. Most field tests were conducted at the 4-6 leaf growth stage of canola, the exceptions being field tests with Pirimor 50 and Transform which were conducted at the early flowering stage. The term adverse crop effects generally refers to a white discolouration that is observed on the leaves within 2 weeks of application (see photos below). Not all plants and not all leaves will show this discolouration. In some plants effects may be quite severe whereas in others they may be slight. The effect is transient with new plant growth unaffected. Slight reductions in biomass may be observed but trial work has shown no associated yield reductions. All mixtures should comply with the label requirements of the mixing partner, including recommended crop growth stage, spray volumes etc. Take caution when mixing adjuvants with Aviator Xpro. The addition of adjuvants (especially oils) as recommended on other product labels will increase the risk of adverse crop effects in canola. Damage may be exacerbated if plants are stressed from a frost event occurring around the time of application. The physical compatibility test conducted in the laboratory compared compatibility at different water hardness (soft and hard) and under different temperatures (4 C and ambient). Compatibility results/comments apply only to those specific named products listed unless an alternative product is clearly an equivalent formulation. Products containing different concentrations of active constituents to those listed may not be compatible with Aviator Xpro. It is recommended to avoid application during dewy conditions as this may lead to increased crop effects.

6 CANOLA: Observations from containing multiple herbicide mixtures The Aviator Xpro label currently warns against these mixtures, at least until further testing is completed. Product/active and maximum lab test Gesaprim Granules kg/ha 900 g/kg atrazine Not tested in lab Yes 13 TT varieties only. Caution. Adverse crop effects were observed in 13 of 13. Effects were transient. Biomass was generally not affected and there were no associated yield reductions. Gesaprim Granules kg/ha Lontrel ml/ha 900 g/kg atrazine 300 g/l clopyralid Dow Not tested in lab Yes 1 TT varieties only. Caution. Tank mixes with an oil adjuvant will increase the risk of adverse crop effects. Inadequate testing to make a recommendation. Gesaprim Granules kg/ha Lontrel Advanced ml/ha 900 g/kg atrazine 600 g/l clopyralid Dow Not tested in lab Yes 3 TT varieties only. Caution. Adverse crop effects were observed in 3 of 3. Effects were transient. Biomass was generally not affected and there were no associated yield reductions. Roundup Ready (with PLANTSHIELD) kg/ha Archer ml/ha Liase 2% 690 g/kg glyphosate 300 g/l clopyralid 417 g/l ammonium sulphate Monsanto Nufarm No but ph may not be ideal, mix should be used promptly Yes 1 RR varieties only. No adverse crop effects were observed. Inadequate testing to make a recommendation.

7 CANOLA: Aviator Xpro is compatible with liquid fertilisers when used during flowering timing when applied i.e. at Sclerotina timing. Observations below are from containing mixtures with liquid fertilisers (prior to the commencement of flowering). Product/active and maximum lab test UAN 32% Urea + ammonium nitrate Various Not tested in lab Yes 1 Do not mix. Application of urea ammonium nitrate products alone can cause adverse crop effects in canola. Tank mixes with Aviator Xpro will increase the risk. Inadequate testing to make a recommendation. UAN 32% Not tested in lab Yes 12 Do not mix. Adverse crop effects were observed in 12 of 12. Tank mixes with both urea ammonium nitrate products and oil adjuvants will increase the risk of adverse crop effects. Roundup Ready (with PLANTSHIELD) kg/ha UAN 32% Liase 2% 690 g/kg glyphosate Urea + ammonium nitrate 417 g/l ammonium sulphate Monsanto Various Nufarm No but ph may not be ideal, mix should be used promptly Yes 1 RR varieties only. Do not mix. No adverse crop effects were observed but tank mixing Aviator Xpro with urea ammonium nitrate products will increase the risk of adverse crop effects. Inadequate testing to make a recommendation. Comments: The Aviator Xpro label prohibits the use of such mixtures, at least until further testing is completed. Do not mix Aviator Xpro with urea ammonium nitrate products such as UAN 32%.

Field test evaluations have not been as extensive compared to canola. Even though no significant adverse crop effects have been seen in chickpeas caution is still advised when mixing adjuvants with Aviator Xpro. The addition of adjuvants (especially oils) as recommended on other product labels may increase the risk of adverse crop effects in chickpeas as seen in canola.
