1 FERTILIZERS

2 Introduction Nitrogénművek Zrt. and Bige Holding Kft. are both significant participants of the Hungarian fertilizer market. The companies are members of the Bige Holding group. The first Hungarian ammonia and nitrogen fertilizer plant has been established in 1931 in Pétfürdő. Since that time Nitrogénművek Zrt. is the key fertilizer manufacturer in the Hungarian market, over the decades some of our products like Pétisó (CAN-27) became even standard terms for the Hungarian farmers. The year 2007 was a significant one in the history of Nitrogénművek Zrt. The objective of the acid plant investments was to establish a facility that fully complies with the environmental requirements and technical qualities raised by the most recent requirements. Beyond satisfying the demands of customers, the building up of the granulation plant also meant introducing an advanced level, highly secure and effective production process technology. The activities of Bige Holding Kft, formerly known as Tiszamenti Vegyiművek, have been extended with the production and packaging of compound NPK fertilizers in 2004, the trade of which is conducted by Nitrogénművek Zrt. The Szolnok facility is suitable for the production of any compound fertilizers for agronomic purposes and is operated by a state-of-the-art technology. Beyond environmentally friendly technologies, the facility can also be characterized by economic specific energy utilization. Our aim is to satisfy our customers demands at a high level of quality and with flexible services. In order to achieve this our operations are managed based on the MSZ EN ISO 9001/2000 quality management standards. Operations of Nitrogénművek Zrt. also complies with the MSZ EN ISO 14001/2004 standards. We regard environmental protection as a basis of our production activities and our organizational culture. In 2008 Nitrogénművek Zrt. has been awarded Business Superbrands 2008 status and stamp. As members of the Bige Holding group, we provide the agricultural market with a comprehensive assortment of fertilizers as well as a country-wide brand sales and consulting network. Besides nitrogen and complex NPK fertilizers, our wide range of products include solid and liquid basic fertilizers and top dressings as well as additional irrigation and leaf fertilizers.

3 Environmentally friendly fertilization The role of fertilizers is to act as supplement for the naturally occurring nutrients, up to a level that ensures economic crop yields. Therefore, fertilization inputs only naturally occurring chemicals into the soil. Genezis fertilizers contain only those important nutrients that are also provided by organic fertilizers. Consequently, properly applied fertilizers ensure optimum nutrition, resulting in a more healthy vegetation and a sustainable soil fertility. The increased productivity from farmland serves for the conservation of the natural environment. With its oxygen production, richer vegetation decreases the greenhouse effect. The organic matter content of the soil also increases by the incorporation of higher amounts of stubble and stem residues. The active root system of the healthy vegetation reduces soil erosion, utilizes the natural and synthetic soil nutrients more effectively, thus reduces the loss of nutrients into surface waters. Unwished side effects of fertilizers emerge when inadequate quantities and methods are in practice at the application (e.g. uneven spreading results in unbalanced nutrition). The favorable effect of applying both organic and synthetic fertilizers is well known. It is beneficial if organic fertilizers represent at the most only half of the ingredients, because liquid fertilizers may clog the soil pores, destroy its structure, the soil becomes airless and boggy, and the arid soil will finally be cracked. A well-established fertilization not only protects the environment, but it is also economical, because only the for the optimum crop yield required amounts are applied.

OUR NITROGEN FERTILIZERS 5 Pétisó CAN 27% + 7% CaO* + 5% MgO** * 2% water soluble, ** 1,5% water soluble - On Hungarian lands since 1931 granulated Available in granulated and prilled forms Nitrogen content includes same amounts of slow-acting ammonium-nitrogen and quick-acting nitrate-nitrogen, therefore it is recommended as a basic fertilizer or top dressing for all types of soil and cropping. Especially effective on acidic soils due to its dolomite content Repairs soil structure due to its potassium and magnesium content Especially recommended for fertilization of plants with high magnesium demand, such as potato, sugar beet, perennial legumes, maize, rape, oat, horticultural and drug plants. prilled Granulated Sulphurous Pétisó CAN 27% + 4% S* (total) + 5% Ca** (total) * value guaranteed, ** value not guaranteed Recommended primarily for soils with sulphur deficiency and for enriching the biological value of sulphur-demanding plants granulated with sulphur Ammonium-nitrate 34% - The market leading fertilizer Suitable for both basic fertilization and top dressing Recommended for soils rich in calcium Recommended for all plants, due to its equal content of ammonium and nitrate-nitrogen A regular dosage of nitrogen fertilization that matches the growth rate of the plants not only allows for increasing the amount and quality of the yield, but also enables better nitrogen utilization Fertilizers with high ammonium nitrate content are to be handled as dangerous materials. More details on their safe application at our website ( Storage: Avoid contact with other fertilizers, with combustible and organic materials

6 OUR NITROGEN FERTILIZERS Urea 46% - Rich in nitrogen A superb basic fertilizer Bleaching could be avoided due to the longlasting effect of its amid-nitrogen content Especially recommended for soils rich in potassium Also suitable for leaf fertilization as a 0,5-1% solution Covers 25-30% protein requirement of ruminants as feed urea Storage: Avoid contact with ammoniumnitrate based fertilizers Mikramid 45% - Micro amounts macro effects Easy absorption even through the leaves of the plants, therefore equally applicable for soil and leaf fertilization as well as for top dressing. A source of nitrogen and micronutrients Applicable for all soil types Quickly and completely soluble in water Accelerated chlorophyll formation due to its trace element content Can be blended with other nutrients, fertilizers and pesticides

OUR NITROGEN FERTILIZERS 7 Nitrosol 30% - All drops effective Excellent for top dressing, leaf fertilization and irrigation in cereal cropping and irrigated cropping applications If used as a basic fertilizer, spraying prior to ploughing is recommended Fosters decomposition and humification processes of stem residues Increases efficiency of meliorative liming Boosts the degree of nitrogen utilization efficiency if spread jointly with organic material. Its calcium and magnesium based variant is Nitrosol-Ca, carrying the advantages of Pétisó (CAN-27) as well. Nitrosol Kalcinol 8,5% - Healthy growing with calcium Irrigation and leaf fertilizer Recommended for enriching saline soils and soils poor in calcium Positively effects the crop growth in the whole growing period and boosts its stress resistance Ensures for a normal carbohydrate and nitrogen metabolism of the crop Recommended for the fertilization of vegetable crops pepper, tomato, cucumber in both glass and plastic covered greenhouses and prevents terminal decay due to the lack of calcium Especially suitable for preventing staines on apple Avoid contact with phosphorus based fertilizers Kalcinol
