4 MODULE Understanding the theory and practice of your ventilation system Sun 17 th Sat 23 th February 2019 Toledo, Spain This module covers the principles of ventilation, why birds need ventilation and the theory and practice behind minimum, transitional and tunnel ventilation. 50% of the week is in the classroom and 50% on farm, giving students the chance to put into practice what they have learnt in the theory sessions.

5 HATCHERY & INCUBATION MODULE Optimising Hatchery Performance Fri 24 th Fri 31 th May 2019 Budapest, Hungary The course provides a general understanding of best poultry practice to aid in the management of broiler hatcheries with optimum welfare, biological and economic performance.

6 MODULE Understanding the Nutritional Needs of the Bird Sun 30 th June Sat 13 th July 2019 Bangkok, Thailand This module focuses on identifying and understanding the nutritional requirements of the broiler and breeder bird. Practical, interactive workshops cover many areas including gut health and diet and feed production.

7 MODULE Optimising Breeder Performance and Economic Returns Sun 25 th Sat 31 th August 2019 Edinburgh, Scotland, UK This module focuses on identifying how to improve the cost efficient production of fertile hatching eggs in an interactive workshop format.

8 MODULE Understanding live-bird processing and its challenges Sun 8 th Sat 14 th September 2019 Asia A small change in processing yield can significantly impact processing performance. This module is an intense learning experience with at least 50% of the time spent inside a working processing plant. Students will leave with a thorough understanding of the complexities involved with managing a processing plant and the tools to be able to improve performance and profit.

9 MODULE Optimising Broiler Performance and Economic Returns Sun 24 th Sat 30 th November 2019 Edinburgh, Scotland, UK This module is a source of information and knowledge on how to improve the production of cost efficient broiler meat in an interactive workshop format.
