5 What We Do Simple, Fun, Effective We provide honeybee hive adoption plans for organisations across the UK, making keeping honeybees simple, beneficial and fun! Our clients include Michelin-star restaurants, award-winning hotels, stately homes, retailers and technology companies, who benefit from the unique marketing, PR and sustainability credentials. THE NUMBER OF HONEYBEE HIVES IN THE UK HAS DECLINED BY 73%, FALLING FROM 1 MILLION HIVES IN 1900 TO JUST 270,000 IN 2015 A Complete Service We install your beehives here on our organic farm, care for them and look after everything on your behalf sit back and enjoy the fascinating work of the honeybee, with regular updates on your bees including photos and videos of your hives in action throughout the year. At the end of each year, we extract, jar and label the honey by hand, true to our artisan approach, then deliver your hive s delicious raw, British honey right to your door. Each hive can contain as many as 80,000 honeybees at its peak, so we regularly inspect your hives to prevent swarming and ensure their optimum health and well-being. 100% Raw, Award-winning, British Honey All of the honey extracting is done here in our specially adapted 19th century barn, so there s no mess or fuss for you to worry about. THE UK PRODUCES JUST 14% OF THE HONEY IT CONSUMES, COMPARED TO A EUROPEAN AVERAGE OF 60% Your honey will be as unique as your brand - a true signature of the landscape your bees forage on - we tend to harvest set honey in the Spring (a result of the bees foraging on oil seed rape and early Spring flowers) and then clear honey in the Summer (from tree pollen, ivy, wild flowers, hedgerows etc).
