7 NAIA

8 NAIA studies are at farm level, to be useful to support farmers and other stakeholders towards the concept of sustainability and to guide them to proper actions towards more sustainable farms. How NAIA works? TOOL STRUCTURE INPUT DATA RESULTS SUSTAINABILITY INDICATORS + ENERGY BALANCE NUTRIENT BALANCE CARBON FOOTPRINT

16 AGRICULTURE SECTOR NEEDS TO BE A VIABLE (in economic, social and environmental terms) Holistic vision: helpful to have a wider vision of farms. Indicator approach helps to measure quality and quantity aspects for sustainable assessment. Start point to take actions and find where continue working/studying on. Importance of local, traditional productions with a strong relation with landscape, culture and identity of rural areas.
