1 MICROBIOLOGY CONFERENCES IPC2014 International Scientific Conference on Probiotics and Prebiotics IPC2014 The International Scientific Conference on Probiotics and Prebiotics IPC2014 will be held during 24th 26th June 2014 in the hotel InterContinental Budapest, the capital of Hungary. IPC2014 will be the oncoming event of the successful conference series focusing on probiotics in 2000, 2004, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012 and The scientific programme will focus on current advances in the research, production and use of probiotics and prebiotics with particular focus on their role in maintaining health and preventing diseases. It is a goal of conference to provide a scientific forum for all stakeholders of probiotics and prebiotics and to enable the interactive exchange of state-of-the-art knowledge. The conference will focus on evidence-based benefits, health claims proven in scientific experiments and clinical trials. New scientific evidences that support or question the efficiency of already existing or prospective substances and applications will be conferred. In addition novel strains, controversial but scientifically solid ideas, approaches and visions will be presented as well. Further to its scientific content, IPC2014 will be a networking event. It is a unique opportunity to meet all the stakeholders of probiotics and prebiotics. You can meet those who influenced the past, influence the present and most importantly will shape the future of probiotics and prebiotics by means of basic research, clinical trials, regulatory efforts or development of industrial technology. Initiation of cross-boarder co-operations between scientists and institutions will be also facilitated.

4 Welcome address It is a great pleasure to be able to welcome you to the XVIII International Symposium on Gnotobiology (XVIII ISG) together with the III International Ecologic Forum Environment and human health (EcoForum) that will take place on September 21-23, 2014 in Saint-Petersburg, Russian Federation. This important scientific event will be devoted to the cutting-edge developments in different areas of microbiology, microecology, genomics, metabolomic, microbe free animals research and will be of special interest for many participants in different scientific, applied and clinical fields. Recent developments in the analysis of the microbiota and its functioning in the organisms of mammals will be addressed pre-clinical and clinical trials employing the prophylaxis and therapy of different pathological conditions associated with micro-ecology disorders will be addressed. We hope the XVIII ISG and EcoForum will attract many specialists on microbiology, gastroenterology, molecular genetics, metabolomics, bioinformatics and infectious diseases from all over the world first of all from Russia and the neighboring former USSR countries. It will be a great opportunity for the exchange and promotion of our research ideas and establishing long-lasting high quality scientific collaboration. 9 - 2 nd International Congress on Food Technology, November, 5-7, 2014, Kusadasi, Turkey, Dear Friends and Colleagues As the Association of Food Technology-Turkey, we are honored to hold once again an important international congress on food science and technology, as we did in 2010 with a great success. The 2 nd International Congress on Food Technology will be held in the peninsula Kuşadası of Turkey on November 2014 with the support of Ankara University.
