Those issues have been resolved and these 60 lots include several elite individuals that we felt needed to contribute to the breed following Broseco s departure from both the seedstock and commercial cow/calf sectors. Registered females will sell in catalog order. Any known defects will be disclosed prior to the sale. Calving information was current through January 26, 2018 when this was printed. Broseco reserves the right to withdraw from this dispersal any animal they feel has an issue that will significantly detract from its usefulness to its new owner. 1 C /13/15 1A - 100% BROWN JYJ REDEMPTION Y1334 BROWN COMMITMENT S7206 Breeding Exposed to Brown Commandeer B119 through 6/30/ C /13/15 1A - 100% Heifer Calf - ID: E108, Born Sired By 5L Independence Y BROWN JYJ REDEMPTION Y1334 BROWN REVELATION P7021 Breeding Cow Sells open/ready to rebreed D /7/16 1A - 100% s Staff & Buyer Representatives: Doak Lambert, Auctioneer Tom Woodward, manager Broseco Ranch Greg Comstock Clint Berry Ralph Means, Weekly Livestock Reporter Michael Sturgess, Southern Livestock Standard BROWN JYJ REDEMPTION Y1334 LJC LANCER 806 Breeding Exposed to Brown Commandeer B119 through 6/30/17.

Were we going to continue in the seedstock business these are the cows we d use as recipients to receive the most valuable embryos. Please note the average MPPPA (Most Probable Producting Ability) which are well above average in most cases. MPPA is based on the repeatability and longevity of a cows progeny weaning performance relative to the rest of the herd. These cows are young enough to provide several years of good service whether you plan to use them as recipient cows or as a starter herd. 10 Broseco Ranch Commercial Herd Broseco s RedLine cattle are the product of nearly 30 years of planned crossbreeding, structured progeny testing and relentless data collection. The result has been a high percentage female that fits harsher environments and steers that excel at gain and feed conversion and compete for carcass premiums. Named BIF Commercial Producer of the year, Commercial Producer of the year and named by NCBA as one of America s top 25 Cow/Calf operations for over a decade. On February 16th the results of those efforts will be shared with the beef industry in Texas and surrounding states. Here s how the commercial Female will work: 1) Commercial Females are sorted into the following lots; and by age, color, breed making and calving date. 2) Each Commercial female lot may be viewed in their respective pasture prior to the sale. Contact the Ranch office if you d like to arrange to view the sale cattle prior to sale day. However, recent video clips taken in late December 2017 and January 2018 are available for viewing at: DV Auction Or, on Superior Livestock Video Auction 3) For those who cannot attend the sale, internet bidding will also be available through both DV Auction and Superior Livestock. Register for a buyer number with Superior and be approved as a bidder on DV prior to sale day to avoid any delays. 4) All Cattle will sell in catalog lot order. Each will be sold in gate-cut groups of 10 (some groups may be slighter more or less as required). The successful bidder will have the option to take successive gate cuts of 10. For example if a lot included 100 cows. The winning bidder is required to take 10, but has the option to take, 20, 30, 40...until there are no more cattle in the lot. If the bidder takes 20, that means there are 80 head left. The auction starts again, and again the successful bidder may take 10, 20, 30...or any multiple of 10 head up to 80. This continues until all the cattle in the lot are sold. 5) All cattle must be paid for prior to load out. 5) NO Commercial cattle will be loaded out on sale day, or over the weekend following the sale. All registered cattle may be loaded out following the sale, but no commercial cattle will be loaded. 6) Each lot of cattle has pre-scheduled Delivery dates, which is printed in the sale catalog. Due to the size of this sale offering, and the reproductive status of many of the cattle, we cannot have 1800 head of cattle in direct access to the corrals. Please become aware of the delivery dates for those cattle in which you may be interested in bidding, as it is each buyer s responsibility to make trucking arrangements. 7) You will also find that there are 4 lots with split delivery dates. This is because a few herds of cattle were bred earlier and have begun calving in January- prior to the sale. If there are 100 cows in a lot, and 50 of them have already calved by sale day, we will sell the 50 with calves first (so the first 5 gate cuts of 10 will all be cows with baby calves at side). The animals in that lot that have not calved, will be the first to deliver beginning the following week. The cows that have calves at side prior to the sale will be the last to deliver in order to give baby calves more time prior to shipping. 8) If you have any questions about how the groups of females will be sold, please contact Broseco Ranch Head - Commercial - Heavy Bred Heifers These heifers were palpated this fall and only the cattle that palpated as bred Cattle will sell in gate-cut groups of 10-Successful Bidder has the option to take consecutive groups of 10 within 70. These heifers have already begun to calve, so the heifers with calves at side will be sorted into the first gate-cuts of 10 Heifers sold with Baby Calves will be the last cattle to deliver in order to give young calves more time to develop. These youngsters represent the culmination of our 30+ years in breeding, testing those genetics in a large commercial herd, further testing through collecting feedlot performance and carcass data. These bulls haven t been pushed nor fed diets high in concentrates - our protocol has been to develop bulls slowly and sell them as age advantage bulls the following fall. These bulls have the misfortune of selling before their time, and that s why someone will get elite genetics at a value price Yearling Bull E A - 100% Sire 5L INDEPENDENCE Y MGS BROWN PACESETTER Y7170 Yearling Bull Yearling Bull D B % Sire BROWN AA PRESTIGIOUS B5153 MGS HXC JACKHAMMER 8800U E B % Sire BROWN PACESETTER Y7170 MGS BROWN COMMITMENT S7206

14 Broseco Ranch - Balance of Commercial Herd Commercial Female Terms restated: 1) Commercial Females are sorted into the following lots; and by age, color, breed making and calving date. 8) If you have any questions about how the groups of females will be sold, please contact Broseco Ranch Head - Commercial - Running Age (4-10 yrs) s Cattle will sell in gate-cut groups of 10 - Successful Bidder has the option to take consecutive groups of 10 within 87.
